Tuesday 6th November - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Morning :wave: hope you're all well this morning. I've been up half an hour and already had a very productive day! I have:
* paid cc
* put chilli in SC
* tried to check vodaphone
* checked banks
I will also:
* quick shower
*rough dry hair and tie back
* all meals from stores
* maybe go to allotment at lunch or go collect library book
* hang up washing
* NSD? Maybe depends if I go and get the book
* check onepoll
* purchase stain devil a la Ally's link for a free try yesterday
* sign up for the i week's trial a la Ally's link
* go for a run after work
* continue stripping wallpaper
Ok better go jump in the shower. Big love to you all x

Happy Tuesday indeed!

My plans are quite simple - take laptop out to local Arts centre and work there most of the day. I'll be taking my own fruit and sandwiches, and their cups of tea are dirt cheap
House is already relatively tidy for teaching later so that's ok.
Any surveys that crop up I can do while I'm out using their wifi
Should be a productive and not too expensive day out of house
In our house, when things break, we just pretend they still work0 -
Morning everyone. Thanks dnms for starting us off.
Last day in my job today. Start a new one tomorrow, which is a lot closer to home. It means a lot less travelling, which I'm a bit unsure whether is a good or a bad thing. Its a pain when I have a 1¾ hour journey each way to the office, but it's nice when I get to travel further afield and get put up in hotels. There'll be none of that in my new job, but it's only a half hour journey to work.
Yesterday, I made the last payment to one of my credfit cards, so that's one less debt to worry about :j
I have to drive back from the North East to the Midlands today, so will use a fair amount of petrol, but other than that I'm hoping for a NSD.
Today I have/will- Hotel breakfast (paid for by company)
- Raided hotel room of toiletries and tea/coffee
- Checked online banking (no surprises)
- Lunch on expenses
- Free tea/coffee at work
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Hi everyone
Shh, I'm 'working'
Here's me:
· Put cheque in
· Paid up for euromillions syndicate - you never know…
· Finish toy I'm crocheting for friend's baby
· Do some yoga coursework
· Bit of yoga practice for Thursday's class
· Packed lunch - soup, bread, fruit, crisps and a few cheeky sweets in work
· Tidying round tonight - keeps me sane!! Get all stressed when my house is a mess.
· Keep eye out for job I know that's coming up - apply when it does.
Lotsa love

Hi folks,
My regular half-hour lunch break is now an hour lunch. I'm not happy about that. I get home half hour later as a result. It's bad enough having 'lunch' at 10am as it is!
Day 6 without pills. Mentally great; physically gruesome, but improving. LOL
Today I will:

Morning all.
List for today:
Check banks and update spreadsheets. Need to check that my monthly savings have gone into my account.
Storecupboard breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Hit daily target on SB
Keep heating off as long as possible and stay warm in thermals!
NSD
One load of dishes a day. This is my new challenge, as I seem to constantly run a bowl of water for only a few dishes. Will attempt to leave all dishes until dinner this evening has been eaten!
Lots of work to catch up on today so need to have plenty of coffee on the go!

Hello all - hope everyone's lists are going to plan
DNMS - thanks for starting us off, hope the wallpaper comes off easily
Right, must start posting as we have been slipping very badly of late. Laziness combined with busyness (business? sp) and tiredness = loss of £s and gaining of lbs
So today's mission:
Check cc statement (yay only £5.46 interest and balance now at £670 - hoping to pay off next pay day! :dance:)
Update spreadsheet with £10 + £5.46 cc payments
Think carefully about impending Christmas shopping trip with mother-in-law as to what will be purchased. Must talk to OH and write a list. (on the plus side, moeny has been put aside)
Breakfast, lunch and dinner from stores
Pluck eyebrows very carefully to try to hold off going to get them threaded for a little longer
Continue to crochet brother-in-law's Christmas scarf (not actually mse though because wool cost me £15 and would have spent £15-£20 anyway :cool: )
Try and motivate self to make some soup
Check Tesco express for cheap reduced lettuce leaves for sarnies
Think that's all. I have also been very good and cancelled gym memebership as was not going. Must force OH to cancel his too. Am getting a bit fed up of reminding him about doing things constantly!
Have good afternoon all!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

I've been trying to do this while I've been at home and .... it's really difficult to not wash them
The dishes (and cups especially!) mount up really quickly during the day ..... esp as trying to have lots of hot drinks rather than have the heating on constantly! Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
