  • I found a section on some govt site saying that road layouts should not cause entrapment of a vehicle in to a dangerous situation but couldn't find an explaination of this so hoped someone on here could help

    Nothing to do with entrapment at all goodness knows where you have read that, the nearest offence that could be comitted could be Driving Without Due Care - under the Road Traffic Act s170

    As I said earlier it is the drivers responsibility to look at and drive in accordance with the markings on the road.

  • wish it was sometimes, think i'd be better off lol
    i'm limited to what i can post and PM with just joining if you could bear with me on this i could do with any sensible advice as the highways guys were no use whatsoever and couldn't admit the lines were painted wrongly despite one of them offering to pay the contractor to put them right.

  • yep . gov but like a clown i didn't keep the pages stored, got there by searching moving a junction and sifting through the rubbish that came up
