POPLA Here We Go!

Could be that the POPLA site/system isn't working properly. E.g. it may be plain broken and rejecting all numbers. Or whatever link there is between the PPCs and POPLA to upload valid numbers is broken.I do not believe this! I cannot proceed because CP Plus, it would appear, have given me a duff verification number.
Or maybe CP Plus are plain incompetent by accident or design...0 -
I'll try later, I might just phone CP Plus tomorrow, not only any 0845 though.0

Could you put the duff number on the popla PDF form along with a copy of the letter, maybe cp will get a ticking off from popla for being dumb, then again maybe not!
It would be a good idea, the option to do so isn't there though. You type out the individual digits in separate boxes and you click "submit". It either goes through or it doesn't.0 -
Sorry, what I meant was instead of doing it online do it using the paper appeal form instead?0
-
Come on now, you didn't think those pesky PPCs were going to do themselves out of £27 plus VAT for all those appeals did you?
The POFA is in now, what point is POPLA?Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Ah that reminds I need to send another complaint in about a ppc adding a £30 admin fee on day 28, very convenient that covers the popla fee , you know the one that they are supposed to fund.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I wonder, at what point do popla invoice the ppc for the fee?0

The BPA have agreed to pay POPLA direct for all the appeals, so there's a regular invoice going to be sent to the BPA with the PPC's names on. Then the BPA will demand the relevant sums from the PPCs - can you imagine the sht hitting the fan with these demands!
This was in the document that was posted a couple of weeks ago which showed the LondonCouncils decision to go ahead. One of their concerns was PPCs not paying so the BPA had to step in and act as a 'factor' (i.e. up-front bill payer)!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Now there is some hope, they know ppc's are not trustworthy. BPA won't do it for free so that's an extra charge for them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
