Ours is currently between 16-17 degrees during the day (cold for me), but when the heating comes on, it tends to get to 18-19 degrees.
We have no thermostat's unfortunately, so I've had to invest a lot of time in turning the dial on the bouler just so!
Currently the heating is on for a couple of hours in the morning and 3 in the evening. When it gewts colder, we'll increase both length of time and heat level. After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

Have not turned the heating on yet this winter.
20.4 degrees c in living room now, 6.3 degrees outside.
It goes up to 21.5 in the daytime when its sunny.0 -
Can't afford to turn the heating on this early in the year. Hubby has a small electric fan heater for the occasional warm when he is VERY cold, otherwise we are under wraps, him in bed upstairs (he's poorly) and me downstairs under a padded patchwork.
Have to be VERY strict on heating or we will not afford it when it is REALLY cold. Would love a house with a proper fireplace where you can burn logs and rubbish - would suit us no end as we are very rural and can easily get free logs. Flipping central heating is way too expensive.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

18-20ºC.. heating on for half an hour just before we have to drag ourselves out of bed in the mornings. Much nicer when it's warm0

Wow, amazed that you all have thermometers!
My thermostat is set to 18 c this morning and the heating is going furiously so it must be colder than that. I am currently drinking my tea in bed wearing big pyjamas and a huge fluffy dressing gown and my face feels freezing. But it must be cold out as it's nearly 9am and the frost shows no sign of melting yet.0 -
No themometers in my house, just an app on my android phone.
Wow! How does this work? I have an iPhone and I just searched for thermometer apps after seeing your post and sure enough, there are lots. But I don't get how they would work - wouldn't your phone need to have a thermometer built in or something? Intrigued!
....ETA I have just looked at the thermometer apps that come up for me and they only tell you the outside temperature based on the local weather forecast. There aren't any that actually measure temperature. I am in awe of your phone Judi!0 -

I never said I didn't believe her! But they don't seem to exist for iPhone?0 -
Just checked my energy monitor and it says it's 12degrees in my lounge! No wonder I feel cold. I am wearing 5 layers on top, a scarf and sitting under a fleece blanket. Haven't put the heating on yet this year. I'm a full time student with cfs so keeping warm is important for me, but my OH has just been made redundant so trying not to put the CH on until it gets colder. We've going to line behind the radiators with tin foil to see if that helps once the heating is on. I've also got some fleece blankets to put up on the windows. Stay warm everyone xA Bag A Month Challenge member0
