Help needed Selling up and then renting

Hello and thanks for your replies so far
This is an update on my situation...
I placed my house on the market on Monday 16th April and accepted a very generous offer from my first viewer, 2 days later on the 18th
So now the wheels are in motion i guess. However, i still need to get some money from somewhere. It's not just a case of needing money for a removals company and a months advance rent anymore.....
I discovered that i need to pay an oustanding BT bill of £54 by May 7th. That's my cut of date, which i've already extended with BT so please dont suggest asking them for an extension. Obviously, i need my phone during this very important time, and cannot afford to be cut off.
My solicitors also require £100 of their fee upfront, even though the remainder i know is taken out of house sale.
I've been quoted some rediculous ammounts from removal companies, and most require payment up front. If i had some money i could hire a van and get some friends to help me move, and save myself about £200.
Add the above sums of money to what i would already require for advance rent on my next property, and you'll see i'd ideally like to have about £800 cash to play with now (to also cover some other small personal items)
I've tried every loan website i can find on the net and they've all turned me down on one factor..... I'm off work on the sick at the moment so my weekly incoming is not good enough for them.
I'm getting so desperate, i'm even considering contacting a dreaded loan shark. I need to find aproximately £500 to £800 in the next 7 days. Does anyone have any other ideas or advice please? I can repay the loan in full, plus any added interest, as soon as the house sale is complete in a few weeks, out of the £30,000+ profit i will make even after clearing my debts.
I realise its a bit cheeky of me to ask, but is there any kind soul out there who could lend me £800 ? And i'll pay you back £1000 in the next few weeks (a nice easy £200 profit for you within a month i should think).
Thank you.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::j 65K DEBT FREE SINCE 19/06/07 !!! :j:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Blimey, I feel for you. I suspect you're not allowed to beg on the forum, but I understand you must feel backed into a corner. What about cash converters/ a pawn shop for your electricals, DVDs, white goods etc? As you say, it's only for a few weeks, so you can get it all back later.
Do they have payday lenders in this country? You borrow the money against your next paycheck or known future income and pay something like 40% APR. Usually terribel, but designed for your sort of situation.
Haven't got it to offer I'm afraid, up to my eyeballs in debt myself, with 2 little ones, we've had a few hairy moments when we didn't think we had enough to pay for food or the rent, but always just about managed with a couple of late payments on the credit cards, now starting to haul things into reverse though, thankfully.
Please keep us informed and make sure you let us know (even from the library computer if req'd) that you made it through.

Obviously, i need my phone during this very important time, and cannot afford to be cut off. (have you spoken to the crediot control people. I was in a very similar situ to you- have you got BT budgeting card- you can get one and just pay off what you can. If you cannot negotiate with them - and you dont have anything to sell- quick carboot sale? Could you get hold of a mobile phone- beg borrow and get hold of a free sim card- loads on the internet then you could be contactedby sols eas if notihng else )
My solicitors also require £100 of their fee upfront, even though the remainder i know is taken out of house sale. ( you are going to have to find stuff to sell. A car boot sale sounds like the best bet or cash converters?)
I've been quoted some rediculous ammounts from removal companies, and most require payment up front. If i had some money i could hire a van and get some friends to help me move, and save myself about £200. ( you dont need this now tho- you can get this between exchange & completion)
Add the above sums of money to what i would already require for advance rent on my next property, and you'll see i'd ideally like to have about £800 cash to play with now (to also cover some other small personal items) ( again, you need this between exchange & completion. We were in the same predicament as you, we actually put down a HOLDING DEPOSIT and didnt sigh the AST. important, you dont want t opay rent upfront and start a tenancy until your sale has exchanged in case it all falls through. You have a good copole of months here while the searches are done to find somewhere and the holding deposit)
I've tried every loan website i can find on the net and they've all turned me down on one factor..... I'm off work on the sick at the moment so my weekly incoming is not good enough for them. (tried the social fund for a loan?)
I'm getting so desperate, i'm even considering contacting a dreaded loanshark. I need to find aproximately £500 to £800 in the next 7 days. Does anyone have any other ideas or advice please? I suggest you come over to the DFW board where we can have a look at your oiutgoings and see if we can swing you through the next few months. Loan sharks not a good idea, there WILL ber a solution. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? I'm going to kill myself this week. There is no other way out. I spend all day every day on the phone trying to get money and sort out my situation but its just constant dead ends.
I had a letter from my solictor today with forms to fill out, and also explaining all the usual bumf. They want £100 of their fee paid upfront when i return the forms with my proof of I.D. etc. I dont have this money.
I also have a £70 unpaid BT bill that needs to be paid by the extension i've already requested, May 7th. I cant afford to have my phone disconnected during this period when i'm in the process of selling my house and all the other related enquiries i need to make. I don't have this money.
I also enquired today with various estate agents regarding renting my next place. They all say that even though the bond and advance rent is paid on the day i would move in, they require an agency fee of between £100 and £150 upfront. I dont have this money.
I tried borrowing £800 to see me through until i got the money from my house sale. Only 1 company has agreed to lend me the money. But they want a £39.95 broker fee upfront. I don't have this money.
Today, my sick pay didnt go in the bank. I phoned up my employer and was told that i have reached the 28 week limit. They never notified me that it was coming to an end. So today i had to make a claim for income support which will no doubt take a week or two to process before i get any money.
I havent eaten for 3 days because i am that skint. I have never felt so much pain and weakness. And it doesnt look like i will be able to eat until i get income support in a week or two. I would starve to death before i even found out if my claim was successfull.
I've just had enough and have lost the will to live.
Goodbye.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::j 65K DEBT FREE SINCE 19/06/07 !!! :j:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
First and foremost (((((((((hugs))))))))) to you. I know this won't help much but you sound very low. Since you have applied for income support you should be able to get a social fund loan, so you can at least, eat. go to them and lay it on the line and TELL them that you haven't eaten for 3 days!!!! Thats what they are there for. Apply for slightly more than you will need, they tend to give less than you ask for.
you sound like you really need someone to talk to http://www.samaritans.org/ , please don't do anything silly, it's not worth it. you are nearly debt free mate, you are nearly there!!!! You will find a way....
Do you have family, or friends who could lend you some money in the short term?0 -
I really do hope you are okay, I will be thinking of you0
