SOA for the OR
Comments
-
I know of someone who, when doing their SOA, lost a washing machine (meaning they had to go to the laundrette) & acquired a dog. They also had a long overdue sight test in order to get paperwork showing they needed glasses. Though they admitted it wasn't a totally honest SOA, they said they weren't going to allow that to trouble their conscience for too long. After all, it clearly hadn't troubled the consciences of their creditors who were quite happy to allow payments out of their account knowing it would take them over their overdraft limit & then charged them extra fees for the privilege. It also hadn't bothered the bank to refuse payments from the account when credits cleared a matter of hours later on the same day, so they would have been aware of them already being in the pending queue. They didn't expect to have a luxurious lifestyle as a bankrupt, but they weren't going to live on bread & water either, so if a bit of creative writing was called for, so be it. I found it hard to argue against their point of view. In fact, I didn't even try.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
