Indeed - as with children. After all, if you put your children up fro adoption you'd save an awful lot of money.
For some of us our pets are part of our family and are simply non-negotiable. We don't dump them just because times are hard.
Yet there are people out there who do dump pets like confetti for whatever reason, whether its because they found out they couldnt afford all the costs associated with a pet or they didnt research it properly.0

Indeed there are. There are also a lot who lose their homes and end up as tenants with landlords who couldn't psosibly allow a pet in their nice moneymaking investment :mad:Yet there are people out there who do dump pets like confetti for whatever reason, whether its because they found out they couldnt afford all the costs associated with a pet or they didnt research it properly.0

Twist the words whichever way you choose.Indeed - as with children. After all, if you put your children up fro adoption you'd save an awful lot of money.
Yes, but you seem determined to assume it's not possible for large chunks of the population to budget. For some of us our pets are part of our family and are simply non-negotiable. We don't dump them just because times are hard.
 This is simply untrue.
Being hard up and cutting your cloth accordingly is achievable and those who manage it deserve praise. The "poor" are, on the whole, probably far better at budgeting than those more fortunate financially. They need to be.
Those who suggest that it's simply impossible to budget or build up even a modest amount of savings are not being completely honest.
I repeat again that borrowing and paying interest when finances are tight and will continue to be tight is a poor course to follow. Especially with PDL companies.
For the record, I've not once suggested you put your children up for adoption or dispose of your pet.0

How else is one supposed to understand a comment like "prioritising pets over budgeting" (or similar words)?0

No, she didn't, she has just realised after 30 years of living in poverty that it isn't always as simple as those of you who have no idea what money worries are seem to think it is, that's all. Budgeting depends on security of income and that depends on security of employment, doesn't it?Has it not occurred to you that people's cicumstances can change after they buy that pet?
Is your pet thirty years old? :eek:0

But not that much fun when playing fetch with it, every time I manage to get one more breath into this body, I will sing a song of thanks to you my brothers, my sisters, my friends, may your sleep be peaceful, and angels sing sweetly in your ears.0 every time I manage to get one more breath into this body, I will sing a song of thanks to you my brothers, my sisters, my friends, may your sleep be peaceful, and angels sing sweetly in your ears.0

it is very easy to always play the victim, it is much harder to muster the motivation to do something about any given situation.Sealed pot challange no: 3390
