Just catching up with the tail end of yesterday's thread....

Butterfly Brain so sorry to hear about your DH's friend; it's awful when that happens, I know only too well. I still remember the shock we both felt when Colin left for the Summerlands (the chap who got me and Mr LW together). I hope DH ... what can I say... "feels better" doesn't sound quite right, but you get my drift.

Uolypool methinks the little brat needs a good kick in the posterior. And I thought comments about race and sexual orientation were not tolerated these days? I also thought you had to be intelligent to attend uni - she's showing all the intelligence of a single-celled amoeba! And I'm probably being unfair on single-celled amoebae there. You know, I'd be inclined to invoke this lady to help deal with the situation: http://gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/egypt/maat.htm
You may be sure, I'm very, very angry on your DS's behalf.

Mary was collected at 14:00 yesterday, and Dylan arrived a the same time - he's settled in immediately, but then, it is his 5th saty with us.:D Poor chap got a tick on him yesterday, just before he was due to be picked up from his owners.:( They've managed to remove it, but they've asked me to keep the site bathed, and to keep an eye on him to make sure there's no nasty after-effects. He's ever so good; doesn't whinge with the bathing - but I suspect knowing he's going to get a biscuit afterwards probably helps!:D

He's not too keen to go out n this rain, but is happy to use the garden - all I have to do is open the back door, tell him to "go and be a good boy" and he'll trot out, do what he needs to, and come back.:o

Mr LW has been to the monthly Farmers Market, so we have our month's supply of cheese.:D He also managed to get some of the lovely unpasteurised cream, so I've made a quiche, and will turn the rest into chocolate mousse, as it needs to be used very quickly.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi all

Uolypool - made me so angry, reading how your son was treated, its not bullying, its assault, i,m sure that you are dealing with the issue appropriatly, if it were me, I would go to the Police, rasist and homophobic remarks should be treated at the highest level - hugs to DS xx

Or party went well last night, too much food, too much wine but fab and fun - everybody looked amazing in their costumes - I only drank 3 glasses of wine, but feel SO tired today.

I,ve pulled some sausages out of the freezer, will do something with them later.

    Have a fab day allxx

Uolypool - hugs to you and your son x
LameWolf - keep a close eye on that tick bite - my westies always end up with antibiotics as their bites become infected. it is very hard to get the legs out (uggggghhhh) so they form an anscess.

Well snow stopped - huge flakes. We think it is the first time it has been that early for at least 18 years.

Im tucked up in bed as Grand Prix on and it makes me dizzy dizzy.
In the process of making cakes and gingerbread for my parents but waiting for hubs to finish watching GP.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Afternoon all, no snow or rain here but sister in Wiltshire had snow earlier this morning. Not looking forward to winter if it's going to be bad. WM is on and other load is drying in TD too damp to put it out.
DD is putting I**A furniture together, she has decorated her room this week and her old furniture was falling apart. I'm glad we've taught her to be self-sufficient. Hugs to all in need, Uolypool hope DS is OK it is very worrying when young people are so intolerant it does not bode well for the future of society, you would think that if they are intelligent enough to be at Uni they can live and let live. Hope everyone has a good day and keeps warm :)

H stressing about the snow they've had in Bath  he's got a BMW which whilst fantastically economical for fuel are totally rubbish in snow. My dad is sorting him out with snow tyres next week. For once I hope it melts :o

    Afternoon everyone

Really enjoyed my roast beef, I love it on the rare side of medium, although DH moaned it wasn't cooked enough then proceeded to ask for seconds which he polished off - sometimes wonder why I bother!!! Enjoyed the Hm cheesecake DS1 and I made last night, I had to do an emergency rescue this morning but turned out ok (it needed to be whisked more), was excellent taste and some left, will def be making again.

Now chilling for the rest of the afternoon,

Take it steady everyone as horrid outside, stay safe and well,

So mum and dad left at lunch had a nice night last night watched strictly then a film and enjoyed a Chinese take away:D
It's so cold here, but did manage a run around lunchtime. I have upped from walking to running to try and kick start my weight loss, 23 lbs so far and just about a month until we leave for Australia.
Have been to visit my Dd and DGS this afternoon and they are both well, and looking forward to our hols at Christmas.
Have also spoken to both my boys in Australia. Like to touch base with everyone at the weekend if I can as we are all so busy during the week. Off to dish out tea. Have a good evening j x

  • Back from work.

No snow here and it's actually been quite bright today. Dark now though and fireworks going off all over the place and the animals are not happy.

I am ashamed to admit that I just can't be bothered cooking and tonight's planned dinner is becoming tomorrow's and we are having a takeaway :o

DH is now ironing and I am doing some ebay listing and have a couple of books to wrap from Amazon sales. All adds up to pay off debts and make a nice Christmas.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening, mine will feature curry and Downton :)
