i stayed in sainsburys car park when i went to work, i didnt see the fine until i turned my wipers on and it blew off and didnt bother going to look for it. just got a letter basically saying the PCN is still outstanding and i missed the "discount period" and i owe £60 to be paid within 14 days and they have the right to obtain details from the DVLA but says "IF YOU BELIEVE YOUR INFORMATION HAS BEEN USED INAPPROPRIATELY YOU MAY CONTACT THE INFORMATION COMMISSIONERS OFFICE OR DVLA DIRECTLY"
also says i should contact them before the 8th november to dispute it (got the letter on the 4th)
"failure to make payment within 14 days will result in an addition administration fee of £10 and may result in civil recovery action being raised"
should i ignore it all completely? i was thinking of writing to sainsburys about it because there was no clear notice about this as you drive in (has ANPR)
plus is there any legal documents i can use to back up the claims they have no legal right to fine and its all just a big scam?
advice please thanks

Yep. Ignore it and any other scam letters they send you.
When they send you their next threat re-post here to tell us in this thread so as to keep readers updated and informed that to ignore these PPC's cowboys works.

Private companies have no legal right to issue fines, only the police and courts issue them, councils can issue penalties. But those are completely different to what you have. The advice providing you are he registered keeper of the vehicle is to ignore tcp completely, that is the easiest thing to do as it doesn't take any effort. There is other things that could be done but it takes time and effort if those are in short supply, just continue to ignore.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I got a Supermarket 'overstay' fake PCN about 4 years go and again this year. In both cases I just laughed and ignored it including the letters they send.
Do not pay and do not reply; just play snap with the letters as we have preview pictures. Like all the other posters on this board, you have a fake PCN and yes it's all a big scam, sold to the Supermarkets as a parking management service for free (no wonder they jump at the chance!).
You would have thought that large retailers would realise that 'you don't get owt for nowt' but so far they still carry on using a PPC to threaten their customers and staff.
Tick off the threatening letters (look at the 'old letters' link if your letter chain is not yet in the 'new post-October' linked section) see here.

:D PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just to add to the above TCP have never done court to my certain knowledge and I can back that up, courtesy of the Freedom of Information, that shows, despite their threats to do, so they did not issue proceedings at all, ever during 2011.
You might also want to keep in mind the fact that overall during 2011 some 1.8M private parking tickets were issued. Just 49 (that's correct - there are no zeroes missing) - forty-nine - of these cases ended up in court. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
has anyone has first hand experience of ignoring it with no consequences? id rather pay it than a bailiff come knocking on my dads door demanding money
thanks0 -

Many people have ignored them and nothing has happened. For a "bailiff to come knocking on your door" the case would have to go to court, you lose and then you fail to pay whatever the court orders within 28 days. This will never happen with this company.
Perhaps you are confusing bailiffs with debt collectors. The latter are just private citizens with no special powers. They never visit houses but are just content to sit in their grubby little offices sending out meaningless "threatening" letters. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

I'm only minor league but I have ignored six of these ..all from one company at one location (regulars can probaly guess where
) ...so even when they have multiple "cases" against you they still don't do court ..it's just a pathetic scam tbh 0 -
Lee, I have ignored 4 successfully. You are being given the correct advice. This lot are so useless they couldn't even send me a scam letter when I broke the 'rules' within a mile of their HQ.0

I have received one from TCP and two from Parking Eye during the past year or so. Both have given up early without even sending their full complement of junkmail. They are nothing to fear.0
