• Hi diary

Thought I would give you an update of the last 2 weeks!

Still plugging away at the debt issue. Wow this is tough but I am so focussed on it, it is unreal!

I want it to hurry up and go away .. I hate working 2 jobs, im constantly tired and stressed out. BUT.. I am still on course for clearing this debt by the end of this year and this is keeping me going.

It really is amazing how money can be spent so quickly without batting an eyelid and then when you start to really (and I mean really, non of this half hearted !!!! I had been doing) paying it back, you realise how much you have actually spent and the reality of it all. I now find myself getting excited to pay back those pennies for the stuff I cant remember buying and probably do not even have in my home anymore.

When I am debt free, I cannot wait to start putting the same dedication into saving and changing the excitement of seeing the numbers going down to the excitment of the numbers going UP!

Last night I worked and am back in tonight also. Have also sold stuff on ebay..

I currently have: £95.38 to pay off my credit card, but after I go into work tonight (which is tip dependant but I know the average for a bank holiday so have used the minimum we get) and the rest of my ebay stuff sells (allowed +20% uplift on the current prices) it means that I should bring home a total of £200.... let's see how good my forecasting is shall we!!

The only things that I need to pay out for next week is petrol - going to allow £25 for this.

This means £175 can be used for debt repayments.

Keep up the amazing work!!! It sounds really hard right now - but as you say - it won't be forever... make hay whilst the sun shines... and even though working 2 jobs is a struggle - imagine how good it will feel when you chip away that last £1 of debt and realise you're DEBT FREE!!!

I too have been thinking of a holiday - noty sure where, and like you, I find it hard justifying spending all that money on something so transient... I guess we'll just have to get used to living well and enjoying ourselves instead of scrimping all the time :D

  • Hi diary

Just checking in to say that I had to leave my 2nd job. It was a very tough decision and not one that I have taken lightly but as I keep getting ill and constantly being run down, it is now affecting my full time job and I am having to take time off.

I have re calculated it without this money coming in and it now puts me 1 month (2 max) behind. This meaans I will be DF end Jan now rather than end Dec that I was aiming for.

I am still 3 months ahead of my original DFD of April 2014.

It does however give me more time to study on my qualification which in the long term shall provide a 2nd income that is higher than the 2nd income I currently had.

Right now off to load as much ebay stuff as I can to limit the damage that I will run into next year :-(

  • Dear diary

    Just checking in!

Well I have had an eventful week of birthday celebrations.

I have spent £130 that wasnt planned, so just loaded lots more bits on ebay so that I can claw the money back.

Apart from that, I have my last shift at my 2nd job tonight and also havesome invoices to send in to claim payment on the other little jobs that I do.

Weight wise I have put all my weight back on from this time last year, so now with my spare time I shall be using this to be down the gym and also studying. I hope to lose the 1 stone 7lb by Sunday 13th July (3lb loss per week)... wish me luck!!
