  • Dear diary

The last time I checked in I said that I was going to lose 1 stone 7lbs by July 13th ... not done it!! Grrr

I really wish that I could just stick to stuff its so annoying! Well i am going to dust myself down and start again on Sunday. I go on holiday in 11 weeks so that is a good incentive:-)

Debt wisse I paid off £1.1k... yeah seriously!!! The bank called me as they thought it was cdebit card fraud!! ha ha

Such a good feeling even though I am depressed looking at my bank balance now.... I am going to do this every pay day as soon as its in the account so that its gone and I am not tempted to spend before realising that I cannot pay the amount I want off my debts...

Still on track to be debt free by April 2015 now.. must not let it slip later than this

Right now going off to number crunch again

  • Hi everyone

Checking in to say a massive helllooooo to you all. I have been MIA lately (oops!) but I'm back now and ready to kickstart my MSE login.

I have still been paying my bills back however you will be glad to know.

My mistake has been paying for things on my card and it's taken so long to come out that I have been overspending without realising.

This unfortunately means the dreaded bank charges!!!! Soooo I am running off cash only from now on.

I have also changed the way I manage my bank account and separated my bills from my "spare cash" (which is basically debt repayments) to help make sure that I am not not paying my essential bills either

  • Dear diary

Sorry that I haven't posted as much recently I'm ashamed to admit that I have gone WAY off the rails. I've sort of given up on myself and feel like everything I do is a mistake. I hate having a life of regrets. All my friends either the same age as me or younger have got on the property ladder , had kids, met the man of their dreams etc and here I am just alone and burying my head in the sand (again!)

Right now I am writing this on a beach abroad (yep seriously) I was I this place before and thought I had seen sense but it appears not..... This holiday however (as always I feel I need to justify it!!) was for me to study for an exam I have in a few weeks for me to be able to start earning more money. I haven't eaten out, shopped at the local superstore and bought my food for the week (£50 worth) and generally just tried to find my zen.

I really hate my job and would love to be freelance, but know I can't leave until I am debt free and also have bought my home (so I have wage slips of my earnings)

I feel so proud of those theatre now debt free.. Ninja saving Kat, abundant1972 etc and I just have to realise that my plans are going to take longer than I thought but I WILL GET THERE!!!!

    My new goals are:
    - get debt free... It doesn't matter now on which month/year... It stresses ,e out and makes me feel down when I feel I have "failed" in reality every month I am paying (no matter how small) I am going towards that goal. Yes not going on holiday could of paid more off, but at least I am now paying which is more than what could be said of me 2 years ago!
    - I have nearly paid off 50% of my total debt.. Keep on going!!!
    - put the energy wasted stressing about what I am NOT doing, I to something productive... Go for a run or something!
    - study hard, and get earning some extra money!

You got this girl... Just don't give up on me again!!

  • Happy new year!!

I really need to start keeping this diary maintained don't i!!!!

Well I am officially kicking off my new year as of today (been away from 1st-today)

My new year goals (not resolutions as they are always broken) are below. I realise this is a MASSIVE ask to reach all my goals so I have listed them in order of importance to me:

    1. Debt paid off
    2. Lose just under 2 stone
    3. Complete all my education courses
    4. Save £5k
    5. Promoted in work
    6. Paving done outside
    7. House done up inside
    8. 15 hours extra work per week (need to secure these as I teach in 1hr slots)
    9. Meditation walks in a forest/field every Sunday to reflect
    10. Dress better.. Currently don't care and look like a tramp (not buying new clothes just wearing the ones that are stuck in my wardrobe)
    11. 4 nights out this year
    12. Yoga once a week

    EEK!!!

  • ** PROUD MOMENT ALERT **

I just paid of my capital one card (£469.85) and closed the account!! woo hoo it felt so good to call and say "I wish to close my acount" and the reply "oh no we are so sorry you are leaving"

Yeah too bloody right you are - i've been paying so much interest at 35% for so long now!

Now its all PAID!! Will be broke now until I get paid again in 1 months time but will then start to reap the benefits :-)
