    she's been looking at !!!!!! on Limewire...lol

    who knows...Dells seem particularly prone to this for some reason...it could be an infected file from limewire, some viruses attack the boot sector etc...

    I bought an Dell Xp home CD off ebay...cost me about £6

    She hasn't downloaded !!!!!!, she has downloaded songs thats it! but she won't again!!

    she clicked on recover my computer and its not doing anything now!!

    When downloading songs from limewire always make sure it says mp3 - my family where not aware of this and got loads of viruses from limewire until I told them this simple rule (you can spot the dodgy ones as there not mp3 and are usually very small in download size.).
    Aint got a signature - as I cant think of anything world wisely to say.

    she only downloads mp3 files as it is for her phone and it can take mp3 files!

    think the only way to do this is to get her hands on a dell XP Cd....

    she needs to be able to try Chkdsk....althouh if the restore partition is having problems i'm concerned the Hard disk may be failing

    Hi, No she is bringing her tower round in a bit so I can see as well! Is there something I can download onto a CD and try to boot it? Like some sort of medicine? :confused:
