    Morning all,

wishing you all a good day and sending positive vibes.

Well done fuddle - stay strong and positive (and a big raspberry :p and some to your dispicable employers who through their own stupidity have lost a very valuable employee)

lovely sunshine here, washing out before school run, dishy wishy washer on and attempting to make [STRIKE]a silk purse out of a [/STRIKE][STRIKE]sow's ear [/STRIKE] a Tudor hat out of an old flat baseball type hat. Hope DS8 has a sense of humour today when he sees the final result! :rotfl:

invited for a coffee with friends at 10.30 so will go, chat, come back and finish Tudor outfit and shut eyes to housework until complete

onwards and upwards fuddle et al
    sq

I thought work would have rang me but no, no contact. Kind of pleased although I find it a bit weird.

I have to do a Tudor outfit for my 8 year old sq. your ideas are fab! Mine consists of cutting and sewing an old green dress.

Applied for cleaning position, flexible between 9am and 3pm (schools out at 3.30 and breakfast club starts at 8) 10-20 hours per week. Did state previous domestic cleaning experience required. I hope I managed to get the point across that I am super dooper at domestic cleaning being a housewife, just not in employed capacity. Can but try :)
  • We've just had the best lunch, I picked the first of the home grown asparagus which we had steamed with butter and a poached egg, then we had some home grown rhubarb with creme fraiche, oh my goodness was it good!!!!! This evening I'm grilling some steak and we'll have home grown spring cabbage and home grown leeks with it, delish!!!

Morning Toughies - not a lot to report from this end. Well Done Fuddle the first step out of your 'comfort zone' is often the hardest but one of the most rewarding. I'm sure you'll get a nicer job to suit you very soon.
Had to go to our local Council Offices this morning - they've had a big re-vamp & guess what - now you can only pay to park :( Very nice girlie gave me the rest of her ticket with about 45 mins on it - I used 10 and passed it on to someone else. I HATE being charged so much for parking especially when they tell you its 80p for the first hour & the machine gives no change & most people have £1 coins. Rant over!
Off to try to do some packing for our jolly hollyday on Thursday :)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Afternoon toughies - its so cold here today but very sunny. so I am wandering about in a scarf and two cardigans wearing sunglasses! :)
At least I must be entertaining the neighbours.

silvasava - its so annoying when you know you only need a few minutes parking as well

MrsLW- am so jealous I love asparagus.

I am juggling like crazy today, OH was in work this morning but has taken half a day to try to get the turf down in the garden. So this morning I have DS9 off school, terrible cough, sore throat and he is dragging at his ear. So I have managed to get him an appointment this afternoon.
DS14 had to go into his school for another assesment - we are hopeful its the last one, as he really isnt coping with it at all, and all the experts are saying he shouldnt need to.
So I dropped DD7 at school, came home picked up both boys and DD18, stopped for fuel and cash, took DS14 into school while DD18 sat with DS9 in the car, then dropped DD at college - all by 10am.

Came home to a friend on the phone really upset, and then OH arrived home upset the soil hadnt arrived yet! Then had to race to collect Ds14 from school and arrange lunch.
I still have DS to get to the doctor, collect DD7 from school, DD18 from college and get DD7 to swimming by half past four!

No meals prepped and I feel like I have been through a mangle - which is odd because its not the busiest of days really.

Have been told we qualify for a free set of tickets to lego on Windsor which all the kids would love, only issue that the boys wont cope with the crowds in the holidays so I have reluctantly spoken to school about taking acouple of days off after half term, both boys schools were fine but DD7 has threatened a fine for unauthorised absence - so I will need to get medical proof that the boys cant go during the holidays. :(

Missed a lot of what has been going on but it seems more bad things have been happening but hopefully good comes out of it all...

Been busy trying to learn/hoping I have mastered home made bread again...waiting to see if my efforts have failed...sourdough is a new way for me...

Not buying food at present...lots to get through but whilst I have access to a bus pass...getting out a bit more.

Buying/supporting local business now...quality but not much more expensive than the supermarkets...was at Stockton Market on Saturday was able to attend a Farmers Market(last Sat of the month)Wellington Square)next door to a Lidl and on the main market lots of quality low price fruit and veg so I can see me being a regular.

I can get there in approx 1 hour you may find it worth your while Fuddle...

The last few days have been poor weatherwise...Have to tidy round later today, another visit from my landlord tomorrow...will vacumn in the morning.

Eating a bit better and a bit adventurous...but I have a few items defrosting in the fridge to use up...sausages, prawns, mini roasties, some chicken just have to decide what to have.

May have a salad later in the day(that will use the prawns)chicken and some veg for the evening meal and if I cook the sausages I can eat them tomorrow...

Have some puddings to use up for desserts with custard...

Bought a new "Big" slow cooker on offer in Sainsbury's my present one works but some of coating has come off on the inside and want to be ready if it stops working. The new one has a wrap around element that it says gives even cooking.

I also purchased a fancy weighing scales that give your weight, body fat and water readings...At the minute I seem to be in the right range approx 21-25%(BF)and 50-55%(W)but for my height my BMI means I am approx 6lbs overweight at 9st 6lbs. So if I can get to around 8st 8lbs-9st it gives me something to play with and allows me to eat more some days than others...

The good news is that I am not putting weight on...

The nursery owner has left a voicemail asking me to call her. I'm scared to, shaking now. Why the owner and not the manager?

I feel like burying my head in the sand and not returning the call :(

You might get a surprise Fuddle...you have the upper hand...it could be they are scared. Perhaps the owner does not know what has been going on...perhaps this has been happening for some time hence the turnover of staff?

If you dislike what you hear or how they talk to you, you can always end the call...

  • FUDDLE why not give her a ring, don't let her talk you out of your decision to leave, but you might just get an appology for the way you have been treated there, and if you don't like her tone or if she gets difficult as Pops says you can just end the call and have no more contact. Be firm and tell her that nothing is going to change your decision to leave, see what she says, then you will have closure of it all, otherwise you'll just worry about answering the phone won't you? You can do it!!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.
