morning toughies, we get nuisance calls but they ask what make is my tv??? whats that about. I have no idea, apart from they ask for name, d.o.b and household income. Sometimes the address too. Yesterday I lived in a 16 bedroom mansion and earned 2 million a week. No idea if they believed me. I am currently sitting in my little 2 bed council house freezing. Today should see the boiler being repaired, I rang the contractor myself and said I would be in all day.
have just picked OH up from work, he had an accident at work and cut his head open. There was no first aider on site and the first aid box was empty. Noone bothers to check it appently. So hes laid on the sofa under the duvet, with a major headache. They glued the cut and then dressed it. All he is worried about is will they pay me for today???
We have light little snowflakes here, nothing major and its too wet to settle.
Off to @ldi later as I have a voucher. Anyone used the face cream on offer?? I seam to be getting wrinkles as I am at the age of......41 !!!!
Keep warm everyone.BSC member 137

Nuttyp - make sure OH records the accident in the accident book at work - as much for his protection as the company's. I don't think they will dock his pay if he's had an accident. Hope he's feeling better soon.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

years ago when I had au pairs , we got a telemarketing call from what must have been one of the earliest offshore call centres - at any rate it wasn't so common then. Hearing a foreign voice and not understanding what he was saying, my DD assumed it was a call for the au pair so passed the phone to her. I could only hear her side of the conversation (if you could call it that) but I was creased up with laughter (fortunately Riina saw the funny side as well)It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Hi Pops
Yes I think what you managed to buy was good value and should keep you going for a while added in with what you had at home already. We have snow here, and still falling. It was bitterly cold yesterday and then it began to get very windy. The wind had carried on through the night(snow started to fall at 11pm) My dh and I had bought tickets for a Blues Night in Belfast near the Titanic Quarter on a barge but don't know if it will still be going ahead with the weather. Take good care everyone and keep warm x Margaret

silvasava, he did indeed do a statement for the accident record. He put in his report there was no first aider on site. the first aid box was empty and there was no management on site. He is usually late and unreliable. They have said the report has to go to HR.
Boiler man has been out, the system needs flushing as the header tank is half full with sludge.BSC member 137

It has been the most diabolical weather hasn't it. And here it is almost Easter and I've still got my heating on most of the time. I really feel for those who simply can't afford to have their heating on all these months and have to choose between that and food. : (0
