Hrrmmmm - apparently the planned 3p rise in petrol duty due for Sept has been scrapped. Like that'll stop them putting the price up anyway!

:) I'm fine, Savingqueen, thanks for asking. I tend to run a permanant sleep deficit which means that whenever I stop working I sleep even more.

I was thrilling company at the folks' at Xmas as was falling asleep morning, noon and night. Gimme a semi-horizonatal surface and I'm away with the fairies.

Gonna pop offline now, been a coupla long days for me and need to chill with a book then get back to bed.

Have a good evening, lovely peeps. GQ xx

Right, I had no idea there was a budget today. How bad is that?! Will go investigate but doubt we'll get anything eased eh?

Things good at work except life seems to be work, eat, sleep then again the next day. It's a bit soul destroying especially as I don't have too much time with the girls BUT I have been there and brought them up while they were small AND every full-time worker must have the same feelings. No whinge, just zzzzzzzzzzz's ;)

Hope all is well and that you don't think too badly of us fr eating a takeaway pizza for tea. Just shattered. We do take a pasta salad for our lunches though.

Alfie? I think he's sad :( I think he misses me but his needs are met so I must not dwell as the other alternative doesn't bare thinking about.

    Take care everyone :)

    Ok I'm confused!

Just did an entitled to check for when I return to work later in the year. Looks like we'll be entitled to about £33 of child tax credit a week (£42 Childcare costs).

But I had a play and if I put him in nursery for 3 days (£146 a week) we'd get housing benefit too? (Aswell as £90 a week child tax benefit)

How does higher Childcare costs mean you get housing benefit? Confused!

Fuddle , so glad you will be able to keep Alfie. He will soon get used to his new routine and, as others have said, he'll have you at weekends and holidays.

Morning all. I have just managed to catch up on the last weeks posts after a very busy week with my family.
Little brother finally went back to school on monday after the school promised it was all sorted. By the end of the day it had all started again. He went in again on tuesday but by 10am dad had phoned me to tell me all about it. Little brother refused to go in yesterday. He felt physically sick. I got him to come over to me so he wasnt alone for hte day and successfully distracted him with helping my fellow guiders plan our brownie holiday but by the evening he actually was sick (he made it to the bathroom on time!) with worry that dad would make him go back. Im going to call cambhs now and dad is calling the education dept at the council. the school mihgt be the right one for his educational needs but definately not for his mental and emotional needs.
