Hi toughies, back from the mad house at work. The person who rang in sick turned up at 5, did they say thanks for covering their shift did they heck. GGGGRRRRR. so rude.
Ive just started to do tea, and have got to make tomorrows too. DD is having a haircut, £19 quid for a wet cut. She has long very curly hair so a good hairdresser is very hard to find who can cope with it.
Why am I so tired now? I feel like done loads but in reality only a lick and promise to most of the housework.
Hope peanut feels better soon, mrs lw sounds like a nice walk. Jem hope the councelling works.
Everyone else, hope you are safe warm happy and well.BSC member 137

Just got the final confirmation for the sun holiday, we are off to sunny scarborough in may. Any one been before??
I passed thru Scarborough last August and can report some pretty decent charity shops on the main drag, plus excellent 2nd bookshops plus very reasonable fish and chips.
There may have been a beach but as it is about 35 years since I last saw it, I can't recall much about it. Would have stayed longer but had some more chazzas and 2nd hand bookshops to visit further up the coast............:rotfl:
Fuddle, glad that you're enjoying your job, bound to feel knackered and take care of yourself, as well as the family.
I've been a busy little bee and sleeping betimes, great hobby is sleeping, requires no special equipment and the outfits can be very baggy and comfortable. I highly commend it.;)Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

OMG I had to read that twice to make sure you were talking about the dog! My head nearly fell off.0 -
I have just read it back and thought oops that just sounds weird
It should say say why dh has taken my pooch out she has got pregnant I really can't beleave it. She will only be pregnant for 8weeks I am going on holiday for 4 weeks in 3 weeks she is coming but I bet she is going to have them while we are away, witch is not ideal. Arhhh he can't even take my pooch for a bloody walk what next.I have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar0 -
Glad there's lots of people doing well as their things, well done and yay to you all!
Not much to report from here. Lots of bargains when I did my food shop earlier, so feeling quite smug. Pizzas which usually cost over £3 for under £1, great for the lazy evenings when too tired to cook0 -
Also - nuttyp, does your daughter do any of the curlygirl stuff for her hair? I too have curly hair, used to be long but I hacked it off at uni because I hated it so much, it was frizzy and uncontrollable. I now follow the CG thing, only use conditioner and some cheapy hair stuff and I cut mine myself too, saves me loads of money and I actually like my curls now, only took 24 years! I'd like to grow it back out a bit, but I always get frustrated when it's on my neck!0

Oooh Fuddle. I bet your feet hurt at the end of the day.You will get used to it but that's not much comfort now, is it? The girls are obviously enjoying their new life style, How's Alfie doing. I was all prepared to make the journey to the other end of the country (almost) to adopt him. Quite glad I don't have to, life is manic enough as it is.
Kezlou: Well done on your public speaking! SQ too. I understand that it must be terrifying if you're not used to it. Thankfully I was born with the gift of the gab and can happily rabbit on about anything or nothing if necessary. A combination of 40 years teaching experience and being naturally bossy.
The cakes........ I'm glad you mentioned those. My cake went down a treat, people were probably stunned by its simplicity. The Rev's cake was diplomatically left at home. She absolutely refused to take it. To be fair, although it looked like a war zone, it tasted fine. We cut it into small squares and the boys at the BB meeting in the church devoured it with noisy enjoyment. And the lesson learned was............ Watching a few episodes of Cake Boss does not a Master Baker make.
We have been to W**tr*s* this evening to collect a cheque from them. Our Open Arms drop in was one of their 'green voucher' charities at Christmas and they raised an incredible amount of money for us. Nice people.
I must get back to sorting the house out tomorrow. BOOOO!

Hi, thanks for this. I have curly hair too and it is quite hard to manage - especially in the winter. In the summer it dries quicker so has less time to frizz. i [STRIKE]might[/STRIKE] will give this a go, though the "no shampoo" thing will be tough. I like the idea of plopping. My OH will have a field day with that!:rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Congratulations to all those who have had success's. Commiserations to Jem, I too had to read it twice, really should concentrate.
Nothing exciting here, Im happy to say. went to Mr T and was very pi**ed off with the prices. I did bag 3 of the pyrex dishes that you get with the stamps. Bit of an investment but to be honest my bake ware is ancient and really could not be seen in public  I also smashed a really good dish the other day whilst lasagne juggling
Nipped back later as I forgot something essential and bagged a piece each of lamb and pork for £6.50 instead of £22 but they were grossly overpriced and nothing special. However the smell of cooking meat is driving us both crazy and I may have to treat us to a butty. I am rationing the meat at the moment and both my men are happy with what I am making so will carry on.
Am getting increasingly concerned as my lights keep flickering and a friend reported that a lot of people round here are without power. Off to get the candles out, ok all done, torches and candles readyClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
