Gawd winter's back, 8" of snow and a blizzard. No shops today :)
I was deep in garden planning too - this sort of spoils that idyllic picture lol

So glad your first day went well Fuddle.
  • Mardatha I thought of you when I saw the weather forecast just now. Would it be too much of an imposition to demand some photos?

Nothing much of import to report from this end, which may be a good thing all in all. I don't really need much excitement at the moment. Got a loaf going in the bread-maker and have just taken delivery of a new-to-me fridge/freezer as the old one's freezer gave up the ghost a couple of years ago. So once it's settled down and going a load of batch-cooking is on the cards. Can't wait.

Good to hear from Fuddle about her first day at work as I was wondering.

Fuddle, Kezlou & SQ Well done to you all :T:T:T
You work so hard to do your best for your families and yourselves - Be proud of all you've achieved despite the setbacks. You are all such an example to many who are struggling to see the light.

    Massive Hugs!

Morning everyone, busy day yesterday. Went into work and collegue turned up what we thought was drunk, turns out she had OD on antidepressants. Her partner turned up and explained how worried he was as we had sent her home, we did the right thing tho. Her dad died 3 weeks ago by suicide. Makes you realise how vulnerable some people are. I hope she will be able to get some help, as I am not sure what else to do.

And this morning someone else has rang in sick, so my day off is now a day in as I cant leave them in the lurch even if others don't care. she has been working at our place for nearly 4 weeks this is the 3rd time its happened. I don't know what to think anymore.

Tea is prepared, York puds with mash and veg and small grill streaks. Not as fancy as they sound. Will be overcooking the amount of mash n veg, as planning on making shepards pie for tomorrow. I have 14 hour shift, I must be be mad.....

Well done fuddle with the job glad you got on well on your first day. See your girls and alfie will appreciate your time more. Everything is coming together and all working out fine in the end.

SQ glad the talk has gone ok, I couldn't stand up in front of loads and speak.

    Take care everyone. x

Afternoon all, well my plans to get stuff done today has completely gone to pot as I feel terrible and it's getting worse all day.

Sore throat, shivers etc etc. Spent the day cuddled on the sofa and luckily LO is playing ball and is quite happy at the moment being bounced in his bouncy chair by my foot (while the rest of me is on the sofa). Lol.

Mum and Dad have offered to have him tomorrow if I'm feeling as bad / worse so I can sleep. Luckily OH is understanding and has told me as soon as he gets in from work im off for a bath and early to bed :D

On a good note just had our postnatal check up and all is well. LO is gaining weight well and is healthy and I'm all healed and have been given permission to start exercise and everything again :) Yay!
