Can I just say, that each one of us on here have very different circumstances. We post for support, advice and friendship. It is not always possible to understand everything behind a person's post, whether they post because they are feeling down, unable to cope, or whatever. I know it is frustrating when advice is given kindly and with the best intentions and then perhaps ignored, but there may be other circumstances that we simply do not know about.
I am sure everyone on here has the best intentions and wants to help where they can and that is the best we can do. We are after all supporting each other through really tough times.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

I tried uswitch. I will save £35 per year if I switch. That's not a lot of savings really. Would you bother for that? I love BG's online account facility and can see exactly what I use etc. I was expecting £100's :rotfl:
Watching Martin Lewis on ITV Tonight "How Much Can You Save" on now.0 -
I'm trying to build my own jungle gym for Polo-cat, using large(ish) pipes, I'm thinking the flexi plastic ones big enough for a cat to walk through, just wondered if anyone knew where I could find/look at some?
I believe all companies charge a standing charge, have you tried one of the comparison sites?
For those interested Martin Clunes is on ITV tonight, The Secret Life of Dogs, sounds like it could be interesting and fun.He was on the One Show last night talking about it, and was joking that someone said a dog barking has 5 types of barks and they all say bark, (hey), bark (hey), bark (hey...):rotfl:
Hi Byatt, I was wondering if a builder's merchant might have some suitable stuff? I've seen plastic pipes with a diameter about the size of a teaplate, often yellow? Not sure what they're made to carry. Maybe someone on Freecycle might have some pipes to declutter? HTH.
Fuddle I am with scottish power and we dont pay a std charge on our tariff, we didnt have one when we were with Eon either.
I think if you use the comparison sites you can tell it to look at non std charge rates - that said its a while now since I used themE.on started their standing charge on 18th Jan. Which is why they're losing my business. In all fairness, their simplification of the tariffs, the doing away of first unit and second units into one (lower) unit price + standing charge may be advantageous to some customers, or at least not as disadvantagous as it is to a minimal user like me. The new regime is punitive for me as I'd pay a lot more. I never ever went into the second units on the old tariff anyway.:(
My new provider has standing charges but they are less than E.on's and the unit price is virtually identical. Plus I think smacking E.on for the change is a good idea. Being as I'm small potatoes in terms of profitability, I'm surprised they're clamouring to retain my business, but who knows how many other customers have announced they're bailing out because of this change. Mebbe they're running scared. I kinda like to think that this is costing them customers.
Had a lovely sunny day weatherwise but have been at work so only able to admire it coming and going. But I do notice how the days are really starting to draw out. The gardener in my soul is getting twitchy and thinking about planting stuff. I love the seasons, wouldn't want to live somewhere where there isn't much marked change from one to the other.
Hokay, Nurse is advancing with the teapot and a menacing expression, so I'd best go pour. Laters, GQ xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

thanks Kidcat, I will try that, but I particularly want tubes, I have a plan...:rotfl:...to perhaps use pipes to enable him to go in an outside enclosure as he's an indoor cat...great ideas in America but too expensive to buy.
I have seen that done its a good idea - assuming you are handy at building an outdoor enclosure that is :rotfl:
there will be a you tube video I am sure
We visited a farm in the summer which had metal guttering around the pens and barn, eight foot up in the air - and the goats used it to get from area to area.0 -

One third of lads have some sort of police record. So if we binned all the ones who had been in trouble, there'd not be a lot to go round! If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Fuddle they are £2.15 in my local Ald! so you may be lucky - obviously the price is due to rise:)
I use those eggs and am really pleased with their freshness to be honest compared to other SM eggs.0 -
Just popped by to send hugs out, it sounds as if a lot of my dear friends on here are running about looking after poorlies or job hunting and it sounds very stressful for you all.
Fuddle, I had a friend who had little or no confidence when driving (due to his domineering dad:mad: He used to take me out for lunch and I told him 'no one knows you picked the easiest parking space at the back of the car park, no one knows you went round the roundabout 3 times before you got the right exit - give yourself a break and keep trying' He recently drove to France quite happily. confidence comes, I find , from saving yourself stress, when you go for your trips on foot have a look round at the available parking and the ways in and out of places so when you drive there you will know your way xx
I nearly have my new front garden:j the builders have put up the fence posts and laid a good foundation for the drive. They are the best builders, very careful and thoughtful :A they check we can get in and out and its safe for hubby.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -

That is so true Ginny - I can usually park the tank efficiently but since my back is bad it hurts so I have taken to parking badly instead:D seriously I will drive about until I can drive through one space and into the forward facing one or if I cant do that I park over two :rotfl::rotfl: I know its bad form but it makes life so much easier - and I dont even notice the looks any more;)0
