KIDCAT you are one good person, with all your own load, you never ever hesitate to add to it for folks who need your help, you are the good samaritan, I so hope your Mums brother is comfortable and she can take some comfort from that, also your cousin who will also need your strength for what is likely to come, Bless you, if there were more like you this world would be a better place for all of us, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Happy Birthday Kittie!
Kidcat, I'd avoid chiropractors like the plague: http://whatstheharm.net/chiropractic.html
A good physio would be my port of call, but as I say, I didn't need one after following the exercises in the book.
We had an electric bill. I'd been dreading it because we've had the air-con on a bit this year, since it's been so stinking hot (and when there's a bushfire locally we close up and stick it on to avoid the smoky smell). When it's arrived, we used less than last year. I can't figure it. It's an actual reading, not an estimate. And our usage is barely above their average for a single person household. I know we're careful, but we're not that careful.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Kidcat - I have chronic back problems and use a combination of physio, sports massage and exercise to manage it. If you're in pain now, then the massage might be worth a try in case it is muscle spasm. A good sports massage professional will work with your physio.0

I wouldn't be able to walk at times without my wonderful osteopath. But DH went to her when he tweaked his back and didn't find it helped so it's horses for coursesIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

please don't go to a chiropractor, a friend trained and realised quickly that they basically do more harm than good! He said they treat the problem BUT make more so you keep going back and paying and paying and paying and ..... he retrained as an osteopath and sports therapist.Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Thank you SQ...just posted this on my blog...
Just back from a concert by Chris Dean's Syd Lawrence Orchestra(Big Band)Only sixteen in the band If you include Chris who MC'd the show, sang, played trombone and conducted.
You just don't want nights like this to come to an end. I could not fault one song/tune and the selection chosen. I can't remember everything but I'll have a jolly good try...
With A Song In My Heart, American Patrol, Little Brown Jug, In The Mood, Moonlight Serenade, String Of Pearls, Girl Talk, Sing Sing Sing, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm, The Deadwood Stage, Love Me Or Leave Me, Begin The Beguine, It's Magic, Night And Day, Around The World, Get Me To The Church On Time, All Of Me, Tangerine, Bye Bye Blues...I think that I have done well to remember that many.
Chris was heading back home in this horrible icy snowy weather all the way back from Durham to Portsmouth approx three hundred and twenty six miles and that's around five and a half hours. I must admit I would not relish that journey myself. Well, not on a night like this...
It started to snow as I came out of the theatre but not much, more snow back on my town when I got back...
Nice to be safe in my home, I don't like walking the srreets late at night alone...

I have Lyn, I drove her home yesterday morning. I was really nervous, especially with the snow and didn't know the way but with DH's works sat nav and DH following me I got home without a hitch.
Moments of sanity, having gone through what your neighbours have I can appreciate why they didn't tell you. It is the most embarrassing feeling in the world. You feel like everyone will judge you and you feel like such a failure. I didn't tell a soul that we were leaving our house. We too just upped and left and the thought of seeing anyone from there now, knowing they all know because of the repossession notice on the window, well it's just awful. Your neighbours have just acted like anyone else in that situation would act and walk away as quietly as you can. It's by no means a reflection of yourselves as neighbours or anything like that, just a coping strategy used by people who are mortified at the situation they are in.
I'm not applying for the dinner nanny job that kez one for meits a 40 min round trip and only earning £8 a day it isnt going to be worth it financially.
Cheapskate, time for happier times
Yesterday was the final day for LL to get his evidence in. He still hadn't submitted on Friday when I looked. I don't want to look until tomorrow morning when the phone lines are open and I can ring the deposit scheme to find out the next steps. I'm so fed up of this now and it being another issue that I need to use my mobile for, and that is very expensive.
No word on when BT is coming out for my phone line. I'm dealing with talk talk who very quickly I have realised are poor for customer service. I have been told to 'wait and be patient' for a date for installation. I was told 48 hours from Tuesday and still nothing. How patient do I have to be. Calling them on Monday, again on the mobile, is filling me with dread. Hoping I can contact them via email.
I can't at all sleep and have woke with a headache. I'm going to get up, have a cuppa, done my dressing gown, wrap up in a blanket , let my dog sit with me and see what is on TV to watch.
Speaking of dogs, Alfie is in love. The girls made a snow dog complete with socks hanging off sticks for ears. The Alfster can not keep away from the patio door and whines like a love sick puppy. Berry funny!
Porridge for breakfast. Apparently more snow is on the way for us. A bit worried about school tomorrow morning but I'm not letting it get me in a state. If its too bad we just don't go.0 -

I'm a talk talk customer, and I don't rate the phone customer service, but I got an email reply from a lady yesterday at talk talk, here's the email address she used, I hope it helps.

You must put the comma in otherwise it doesn't work.

Thank you all for your kindness
And for the advice re chiropractors. I have decided to stick with waiting for my book to arrive and physio too.
Fuddle - can you not ditch talk talk and go elsewhere? Their customer service is known for being awful. Well done with the car though, while weather is bad if you are taking the kids to school concentrate on just getting them there forget about time, if they are late then so be it - better you all make it safely.0
