Bossymoo - I just cut down the liquid. It's worth looking at SC recipes to get the hang of proportions as they are different to conventional cooking.

Lyn - thanks for the info about Wickham... We are hopefully off there this afternoon for a walk/lunch/potter. I'm trying to persuade OH to move there, as it is halfway between his family and mine... :D

Glad you're getting checked out Katieowl, hope you're in one piece.

Sorry to hear your news Lisakay *hugs*

While I'm on a roll with recipes I'll mention what we had for dinner. Cook some (an entire packet of) spaghetti. Briefly fry a couple of handfuls of shredded cooked chicken , a couple of handfuls of fresh spinach and 2 grated courgettes in some olive oil with a little salt, toss the spaghetti in and stir through a tablespoon of pesto, garnish with a little grated cheese. We have a couple of portions in the freezer for later now.

Oooh totally forgot to mention my favourite SC tip and that its to use a cartouche - someone told me about it ages ago when I was doing a boeuf bourginon for a dinner party and I was really pleased with the results. Basically I double fold a piece of tin foil and place it not touching the food but covering the SC contents - it stops the condensation from the SC lid dripping into the meal and really improves the flavour. :)

Excellent softstuff. I have 4 packs of spaghetti and spag bol is one of the meals that has been banished. I think they're actually just getting tired of the same old, same old.

    Brilliant tip kidcat :D

Making baking mad - raisin loaf in a moment. Going to add a bit of cinnamon too. I'd like to add an icing on the top, would I just drizzle icing sugar and water mix?

Not using a tin as I want to batch and freeze a few, hope it holds through cooking!

Byatt if you have any sherry use that instead of sake. This is my absolute favourite side dish in sushi restaurants - sadly haven't visited one for a while! If you google eggplant miso there are recipes without sake which will be more easily available in Oz than here. You can get mirin in my Mr T though.

Lisakay, so sorry about DH's uncle.
