Hi and thanks to you for the pm........Im in my hut, (summerhouse), its really warm and the sun is shining, like most of you I have duvets and sheets on the line, must be bed wash day...........
Went to acupuncturist yesterday , and I still have headaches but this morning when I woke it was more bearable for me,:D, ......
Gary has gone into care home for 2 weeks arranged by social services, I dont think they were too impressed when I said I needed emergency respite as im nearly on my knees and ill, but I dont take the p*ss out of them , I do it cos of need not greed........
So when he comes back in 2 weeks time I hopefully will be better and hope I will be able to carry on with my caring role , if not I will cross that bridge when I get there, who knows ?.........
Im really going to look after myself more in the next 2 weeks, need to get off these bl**dy feet more to get my heels better, ive had that plantar fasciitis for nearly 2 years now and its a real pain...Literally ......
2 other medical conditions that should also ease with rest as well, so I should be "newish" in a few weeks time...........
My house needs a real good clean through, its not untidy or cluttered , but it needs dusting etc, I did wash all the tile and wooden floors this morning , done all the washing , but theres another day tomorrow.......................
Hope your all doing okay.......Sheila0 -
Oh yes FUDDLE, I'm looking forward to my trip very much, mostly to see my lovely DD but also to seeing what I can talk her into buying!!!!! How well you know me m'dear, my role in all this will be to hold the handbags and purchases whilst she nips in and out of changing rooms to try things on, but it's OK, I'm in my comfort zone with that and these days I don't get to pay, woohoo!!!!! I'm going on Friday and coming home on Sunday afternoon and she's on a late on Friday so I'll cook supper for her to be ready when she gets on, her fiance is away at a seminar in the states so Saturday will be totally girly and believe me there will be a LOT of giggling done and a lot of fun had by both of us!!! I've come up with a sloution for the vases for the top table too, it has to be low enough for seeing over as we will be sitting on both sides of the table and the other day I found a gravy boat in a charity shop with beautiful pink rosebuds on it and have won another one on Fleabay with blue rosebuds on it, so the pink one will be for her side of the table and the blue one for his and we'll start off with pink flowers in the pink one shading to mauve and mauve shading to blue on his side, should be pretty, yes? and both sauce boats have cost me less than £5 so she's happy too!!
POSESSION so glad the bunnies are OK, I didn't know they ate hawthorn, well theres a thing, something new learned every day!!!
Cheers Lyn xxx.
SHEILA so glad you have managed to get another couple of weeks of respite for your dear OH, and very glad that you are going to concentrate on you and your health for the next couple of weeks too, a mental rest too as you won't have to be 'on duty' 24 hours a day and will hopefully be able to relax a little and enjoy life a bit. Make sure you feed yourself properly lovie, that is part of feeling better as much as the rest and medicine and you're right the housework is very obliging and will still be there for you when you're up to doing it, no hurry!!! Sleep well tonight, Lyn xxx.0 -
You enjoy Lyn. Handbag holders are required to go 'oooooh yes' repeatedly, just so you know
A few days worth of investigating and I've found that to beat anxiety/stress and depression I should take B complex, magnesium and vitamin C supplements. I'm not too keen on supplement so will be trying to do it via my diet. I have no clue so need to investigate further.
Crocheting a snood for winter as gave up on my hat pattern and the house thermo says it's 25 degrees indoors. Rough night sleeping across the country I suspect.
Possesision, those figures sound very scary indeed!0 -
Need to read back but am heading out the door for a bus...
yep Fuddle, that sounds a great idea regarding the cure for stress/anxiety. Vit B is often suggested for "Nerves""A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Sheila it sounds like you badly need this rest, it's well-deserved.
Lyn what an exciting trip, and shopping but not spending is the best of both worlds.
I have the bunnies back, they're a bit miffed with me but seem fine. I just need to watch that they eat.0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Had my brother & SIL here most of the day & its been lovely sitting down and having a good "sort" out of what still needed.
upon my brother nipping his GF home less than 10 mins ago, She called crying and needs picking up! All because they now have a move in date ...2nd of July!
Really tempted to give the parents a hard wallop but i know it will result in hardship for my brother.
The neighbours are STILL going, I promise tonight if its a repeat of last night midnight hours i WILL be calling the police.Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
PX87 stay neutral and that will give the youngsters somewhere they can go that won't be hostile, they are under enough stress with GFs Mum at the moment, be thier safe place, it will help them to have a sanctuary to come to!!! So pleased they have now got a moving in date even though it sounds to have caused friction between GF and her Mum. As for the neighbours, it's so not fair to be making that much noise for so long, I hope you can get it sorted out and have a decent nights sleep little one, keep smiling, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Evening all.
Phew, wot a scorcher! Been heavy and grey here all day today and yesterday and the humidity is summat awful. People from other departments were coming into our office and fanning themselves.
1960s buildings, eh? Crimes against both architecture and commonsense.
Congratulations to Mr FPK on his exam and cuddles to the Possession family bunnylets. You don't want to do it but wabbits breed like wabbits, you'd be ankle-deep in them like Tribbles before you knew where you were.
I feel like lying in a cool bath then going to bed but my flat is stifling even with the windows open. It's great in winter as warm as toast but boy does a body suffer in this heat.
(((shegar))) please don't spend all your restpite time catching up on chores, make sure you get to lie about and rest those poor feetses as well.
Well, this isn't getting the tea on. Have no idea what to eat but have stores and some fresh and frozen veggies, so will go forth and be creative............

GQ old fashioned cooling down was to wrap in a damp sheet, I know that was for a fever patient but I'm sure it would work as a cooling mechnaism on a hot healthy person too, might be a relief from the heat? Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Thanks, but it's cooling down slightly now and I think the damp-sheet-look would raise a few eyebrows in my office.
I mean, we're allowed to stretch the definition of smart-casual a pretty loooong way to the casual end, but even that has it's limitations.
I am about to haul stuff out of the freezer; there's food in there, dammit Jim, I just know it. It's only a 50 litre capacity countertop model, I have no idea how peeps successfully organise bigger models. I finks there is some breaded oven fish in the somewhere and I shall haul out a YS chop for tomorrow.
Then into the tater basket as I finish off the last of the 2012 harvest (which have seen better days but then so have I). Scrap that, they have wrinkles and I don't, nyah nyah na na nah!
Hokay, get off your beam end, GQ, this interweb is addictive!Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
