Thanks for that Mrs L,
I'm sure I heard one of them mention talking to the Social Worker Mum had that I dealt with(I don't like her to be honest)I don't want Social Services involved until I feel I need help.
But wonder if I should head them off at the pass...Yes the reading of the letter is a bone of contention. I wasn't told that two people were calling.
Usually one calls or have upto now and that includes women who come on business so that makes me suspicious.
Here's another thing,
I don't have many books but they are not near anything electric or that could catch fire. I don't smoke. There are smoke alarms. There are no naked flames anywhere so a fire could only happen due to leaving something on the cooker, an electrical fault but they were going on even about the books I have. Where does anyone keep books for goodness sake? They are not in the kitchen but in a bedroom.
I was talking to an auntie not directly a relative but she was married to the brother in law of one of Mum's sisters(she lives in a private house) she was saying that her house has loads of books but the difference is you have more rights when property is your's.
No gangways are blocked/enterances and one was only temporary so because of their visit but even that I could open the door and got out in an emergancy...my home is not like those programmes on TV."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

POPPERWELL: could you just phone up and ask why the photographs were taken and what will happen next? If you ask calmly like its a general enquiry that should be ok and not give them anything to be antagonised about. And it would stop you having to wait and worry if there isn't any problem. Can't see that it would do any harm and might help. Esther
Just read on and forgotten about the letter. That's not right, maybe you could mention that. Also seems strange talking about the books. Was it in relation to a problem or just an interest in the books? I live in my own/mortgaged home so never had to deal with anything like this but even dd who lives in rented has never had anything so intrusive as I read on here. EstherSecond purse £101/100

Pops for your sanity, especially as you feel like this, I think you do have to do something.
Does anyone know if pops can request his records with the HA, I don't know, maybe the freedom of information act or something?
Are you up to calling the office? Can you request another visit with all your queries? Better still, could you write to them with all your queries, worries etc so they have to write to you in reply.
Through all these months and especially the difference of opinion etc I think it is clear to all of us that you want to stay in the house you've lived in for a very long time.
From someone who, on the surface, appears to be a bundle of nerves and a walk over I'm actually not and will fight my corner. Behaving this way helps my anxiety, being proactive and covering my back makes me cope with things much better.
I hope you can get some help re: your worries.0 -
VJsMum - Spoke to my GP who agrees it does sound like Noro as the sickness lasted 12 hours and has now ceased.
He has advised I don't go near LO until Saturday at the earliest to be safeThats not going to easy! Luckily my mum has offered to take him tomorrow and Saturday with OH doing the evening / morning shift. I'm so lucky to have so many lovely family around me. But no cuddles!

Poor PEANUT, just take it easy and let your lovely Mum look after the baby boy until you feel right again, stop worrying and put your feet up, then you'll get better more quickly, look after you, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Fuddle, so glad you got your pay, well done for dealing with it the way you did.
Pops, so sorry you are worried about HA. As Fuddle says, perhaps being proactive and addressing the problem in writing is a good way to go. Writing gives you more of a chance to think things through than phone calls and face to face would do.
I have retreated to the conservatory with a cup of hot chocolate to listen to the rain. dd18 and dd16 had a blazing row on the way home from school so they and dd18's bf have gone upstairs with much slamming of doors. It hasn't done my anxiety any good and I'd been having a good day until then so I've decided to let them sort it out.

Lol...thanks Lyn.
Emotions are running high I think because tomorrow is the last official day of term for both DDs before exams and they have school prom tonight for younger one and tomorrow for older one. Can hear dd16 getting her own tea so that's a miracle in itself. Maybe I should 'opt out' more often.
Eek, think the fence is about to take off, blowing an absolute gale here.
