When you choose the phone, does the next page confirm that the contract extension is only 12 months, or 24 months (see the OP for the screenshot of what you should look for). If you are getting a reasonable amount of data, it seems a reasonable deal to me.

I'm being offered the phone for £369.99 but that's a 24 month extension, although with 100mins, 100 texts and 3GB of data plus an unlimited landline calls bolt on for a tenner a month, it's not a bad deal.

    Hi,

It shows 12 months extension. 100mins/ 100 texts/ 500mb/ unlimited landline. what do you think?

Seems ok. Best T-Mobile SIM only deal is £12 a month for the same 500MB although you get 300 minutes and more texts.

Alternative would be to buy the phone SIM free (£458 from Amazon) and go with a giffgaff £10 goodybag which would give 250 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB internet. That would cost you a fiver a month more over the year, but you wouldn't be tied to a contract and you get more minutes, texts and data if you need them. If you don't, then the T-Mobile deal saves you £58 over the year.

Thank you so much. I have one spare phone (nokia lumia 800) with giffgaff sim. However it won't connect to internet outside my house. In house i can connect the phone with home wifi but outside i can't. It doesn't like iphone that will connect to 3G if there is no wifi available. do you know if this is because giffgaff or the phone nokia lumia doesn't support 3g?

Could be a number of reasons.

Does your giffgaff sim have data?
Have you checked the phone's data connection setting? (Settings, mobile network, data connection). It may be turned off

My wife uses a Nokia Lumia 710 on giffgaff with no problems.
