Annoyed With My MP

Emailed my MP last Friday regarding an issue I wanted him to look into, not heard anything from him yet so re-emailed again this morning.

His Twitter account however seems to be regularly updated though.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Obviously being an MP he has loads of free time on his hands to deal with your problem, so he should have replied within hours. The person he employs to update his Twitter account could also have dealt with your question in minutes. After all, how long does it take to post a Tweet?

If I were you, I'd write to the Prime Minister and complain about this useless MP. We all know that the PM has plenty of time to spare as well.

There can't be that many people who write to MPs.

A "thank you for your email, I will contact (so and so on your behalf) and respond more fully within the next ** days" would have done, but fcuk all!

You seem to be assuming that
    a) The OP thinks that MPs do nothing
    b) In fact, MPs are so busy they don't even have time to respond to emails.

You have no basis for either assumption.

I wrote to my MP and did not get a reply. Not worth getting upset about.

Name them on here, chances are they have people checking the internet for their name cropping up.

You'll probably find a response wings it's way over quickly!

My MP has been very good at replying to me by letter and by email.

Have you sent a tweet to him? That might shame him into replying!

My one and only time contacting mine by email I got a written response by letter a couple of weeks later. I thought I'd been ignored too but it was worth the wait.

They really should set some expectations and how and when they will respond
