Your experience appears to have been different, but you're the only poster I've seen actually acknowledging such messages on the public forum.
You appear to have been totally mistaken and missguided in your thoughts in this case0 -

As I said earlier,Moneyineptitude wrote: »Anyone else suddenly have an image of an "underworld" of people offering advice only by personal message?
If I had received unsolicited private messages offering advice about my own PPI claim, I'd have wondered why on earth they didn't simply post in the open forum.
It would have made me very suspicious of anything they said...
So, I'm not sure how I was "mistaken and misguided" in any way? Nothing you've said makes me have reason to believe you received somehow "better" help in secret than you did in public.
I'm also suspicious of your reasons for revealing these secret messages. It's obvious the posters concerned didn't want their existence known, so why are you telling everyone about them?0 -
Sorry ole chap but they were very helpful indeed0

I won't be entering into any more fruitless "debate" about this. I have no idea whether you received secret messages or not, but the information on the public forum was certainly honest and accurate from what I've seen on this thread.
Regardless, well done on your success.0 -
