  • We're about to put our house on the market and are considering using HN.

Has anybody also used HN Conveyancing for sale/purchase - or should we be shopping around for that. HN Coveyancing fees don't seem that competitive.

    Thanks for any input.

It's a marketing ploy. You could pay for any old dump to be premium listed. I don't think there is any point, as potential buyers will consider everything in their price range and area.

Premium listings are great for those whose frontage isn't as attractive as other parts of the house as you have three photos rather than one shown in the initial search. For instance on my house I would also show a picture of the kitchen and back garden as if only the front of the house was shown a potential buyer may not even look any further.

I've got them coming round on Tuesday to start the selling process, 1st time I've used them, fingers crossed it will save my £1000s once I do sell.
I will only use local solicitors in future though, due to using Connells estate agents solicitors in the past and those solicitors being based 60 miles away, it makes things difficult when you really need to speak to someone and they are always "out the office"/"on another call they will ring you right back" yeah right!
Oh well time to begin the house tidy ready for photographs.

Do you want a 'code' ?

I've just completed my sale - HN were good... much much better than cubbitt and west who i bought through.. C and W are the most shambolic agents i've ever had the displeasure to encounter..

I used the conveyencing service.. and basically you need to chase them a bit.. but many of the 'delays' we encountered were down to the 'other soliciter...

I warn you tho - C and W were very snobby about me using an online agent.. and blamed the 'delays' on them.. even tho the delays were down to the solicter they recomended to my vendor - going bust..

Thanks for the offer but already made payment now. I did look around for a code but could only find the 5% off the more expensive option. Oh well, time for more cleaning.

They came around Tuesday promptly, did some decent pics and a write up, even asked if we wanted a for sale board free as he'd got some in the car, we declined as living in a cul de sac.
House was up on Rightmove and Zoopla next morning.

We only had the cheapest package and hopefully it sells quickish as I didn't realise it was only a 6 months listing as opposed to the 12 months listing of the dearer one

We have been debating whether to use local estate agents or housenetwork for a couple of weeks. Not much has been coming on to the market to buy and we are convinced our house will sell quickly as were the agents.

We have now seen a new build that had fallen through before completion we can do PX but will be selling ourselves short. Maybe now is the time to call Housenetwork as there would be no tie in as with the local agent we would only stand to lose £500. If they are that quick at getting it on rightmove it might just work, what do those with experience think we have never sold a house before?
