Oh, Spike....you see, that's just how they should ALL be treated, home comforts and unlimited love. Sadly there are just not enough homes to go round....

Too many wastes of oxygen not neutering their cats. IMO we need fewer kittens more than we need more homes.

    Wow, 9 cats.....hmm, I only have 8, maybe I could squeeze one more in???

The most I had in here (2 bed , 1st floor flat) was 6 so I am sure Paddypaws could squeeze a few more in a house with garden.. C'mon....... there is one I really like on scratchpost.... Hmmmmm

  • It isn't just black cats it's any black animal.

Black bunnies are nearly impossible to rehome.

I think if you want a cat, dog or bunnie then you would have one no matter what the colour or breed!

Mum's cat was apparently dumped close to the CPL as it was born with a "cloudy" eye and the cat breeder concerned didn't want it...the vet removed the eye and Lucy is a gorgeous cat. I do have a pic of her but I still can't work out how to post pics...

We've had black bunnies and black hamsters too!

  • My first rabbit was a black rabbit. The dog was black, too.

My own cat was a black one. She had a sister like her, too. We also had a black and white (and a ginger) and later acquired another black and white.

I've only come into contact with tabbies since then. Plus a MC tortie. Which is almost the same thing.

Had there ever been a free to good home black kitten (or pup, tbh), it would be here already.

I never gave a thought to the colours of my fur babies..I just loved them instantly. One is a tortie..and one is mostly black with a little white.

All my favourite animals are black, or black & white. Kinda figures that I've always had a softspot for the misfits ;)

Our family cat is black and all our past cats have been black and white, and as for dogs, I'd like a tan or brindle staffy, but OH wants a GSD - I agreed so long as we could have a black GSD!
