Black cats are the hardest to rehome!

Any rescue centre will tell you that black, or black and white cats are the hardest for them to re-home, either for silly reasons of superstition or just that people overlook them in favour of the 'prettier' coat patterns.
A lovely professional photographer with a black and white beauty of his own, volunteered his time and skill to visit https://www.scratchingpost.co.uk to take some shots of these little beauties and has put together a video for youtube

Please watch it and enjoy, then re-post the link on FB or any other pet forums you may use, so that these lovely cats get a chance of a happy new home.

They say the same about black dogs too.
But my dogs, with one exception, have always been black and I really think they are the most attractive dogs you can hope to meet.0 -
4 of our 9 cats are black and we make a point of taking the ones that other people won't take, to give them a chance. I'll always choose an older adult cat over a kitten, for example. My Mum's friend runs The Scratching Post and does a fantastic job."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

The ASSISI had loads of Black as well as B&W kittens after kittening season ended, these kittens will grow into adults & the majority of them will move into the main cattery while awaiting their forever home.0

Isn't it the most wonderful cat rescue?4 of our 9 cats are black and we make a point of taking the ones that other people won't take, to give them a chance. I'll always choose an older adult cat over a kitten, for example. My Mum's friend runs The Scratching Post and does a fantastic job.
I am heading up there just now to buy some Natural Instinct raw cat food.

Aww, this post breaks my heart, because these little kittens should be spending their adolescence in a warm cosy home, not cooped up in a rescue shelter (however wonderful! ):mad:0 -
I just don't get it, if people love cats surely they love them all no matter what colour they are. I adopted two of my cats when they were about six months old, one is black with a white bib and white feet and the other is balck and white, they are so pretty and adorable I wouldn't swap them for anything.
Strangely enouugh my little black one with a white bib and feet (Rocket) has two identical feline friends down the road. Luckily one of them is identical in all but that she has long hair (Rosie) but whenever I see the other one sitting in his front garden I always want to say "Rocket what are you doing down here you naughty boy!" Its amazing."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Oh, Spike....you see, that's just how they should ALL be treated, home comforts and unlimited love. Sadly there are just not enough homes to go round....0 -

I'd love another (or 2) but sadly wee cat hates other cats ...... funnily enough, she's the 1st none black or black & white cat I've had!
The others have all been so much more laid back!
And yes .... the next one will certainly be b or b&w!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

My mum rehomed a black cat 15 years ago; she only has one eye (the cat, not my mum!) which made it even harder to rehome. Luckily, my mum saw her and the rest is history.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
