i really hope you get this sorted for you and your childrens sanity, good luck xmummy to 3 monsters!
trying to money save, but spot too many bargains on here!!0 -
Thank you very much. Yes local councillor is involved too. He lives beside us and comes to listen when she starts and has made a report for court too. All the government offices are involved and treating it very serious. I want it sorted before Christmas eve as I want my children to enjoy it like every other child and not be stressed out like every other night lately.0

We live in a very quiet place and there's only 5 houses here the rest of us neighbours are like family, so I know none of them did it.

If the police and all the government offices are involved, what other help is it you're asking for? It all appears to be in control and I can't imagine that anyone here could suggest anything over and above what the police are doing.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

Noise, and more pertinently, the aggression behind it, can be very stressful.
One of my neighbours is a bit of a care in the community case. Unfortunately, no one has ever told him that. He's now 51, never left home, and his mother died earlier this year. Life has just taken a downturn for the worse for him. He has a good IQ, but emotionally, he can sometimes be about 10.
Anyhow, he has decided, after ten years of living next to me and my husband, (we were really friendly with them, helped him sometimes, etc) that after my husband died, that we've been too noisy, and now that I'm a widow on my own, he's going to try to boss me about.
Every now and then, he goes into one, and starts slamming doors, repeatedly. He does some other not very nice things too, that I won't go into here.
Every time this happens, I just remark to myself, or to any visitors, "I see that he hasn't managed to sort out a sex life yet, poor soul". It's helped me enormously, rather than feeling victimised.
So while the legal bits work themselves out for you, I was wondering if you could get your children to look at the neighbour as "Oh dear, poor (neighbour) hasn't managed to sort herself out yet, and has no friends to talk to, isn't it sad? Let's think about the good friends we have and the nice experiences we have with them, and hope that she manages to do that for herself one day".0 -

TBH it sounds like a soundproofing issue to me. I haven't read the whole thread - sorry - but if you are being disturbed by cupboard doors slamming, no matter how hard she slams them, the walls must be too thin.0

Thanks. I still think it's a sound proofing issue. Regardless of her neighbours motives for doing so, she should be able to bang her cupboard doors without it causing a nuisance.0
