Reception problems with Orange/EE 3G

Is anyone else having problems with accessing the internet on EE 3G? It's appalling! Over the past 6 months, reception quality has been getting worse and worse. This morning I can't even access the internet at home and keep on getting the usual 'Unable to connect to the internet' message.
When you try and call Orange it's the same story of waits of up to 45 minutes.
Come on Orange/EE, get your act together!

Switch the 4g on lol0

No chance of that happening yet! But the cynic in me is wondering whether they are using 'subtle' techniques to 'nudge' people to 4G ha ha!0

No problems for me here in West Sussex. I've only had the phone for a month, and I've only been using 3G for that period of time, but anytime I've wanted to access it it's been fine. Although I'm not the heaviest of users so I'm probably not the best person to base this on!0

Ok, it seems that the old battery pull trick has done it - at least for now at home. But this still doesn't solve the issue of the poor reception when out and about in London. I can't be doing a battery pull every time lol0

I've just tried to upgrade to 4g everything everywhere. I was told, when I took out an iphone 5 on contract with orange last month, that I'd be able to move to EE free of charge when it goes live as long as I took a minimum term price plan with them. Tried to do that this morning to be told by Orange that I have to wait 6 months!!!!
Sat at my desk on hold trying to get an answer and eventually the call failed because the signal I have at my desk is so BAD. I am absolutely fuming. There is no way to email them and I can't get onto my orange online account.Trying to remain free of unsecured debt and build up some savings.

I, too, don't understand why Orange won't allow queries on an account. When you access the email form on their website, they say: 'We are unable to discuss any of your personal account details via email, so please call us if you have an account query.'
Am I missing something here?0 -
I've just tried to send them an email and got an email back saying I need to call them instead as their email is 'being improved'. All I can think to do is tweet them, I'm at my wits endTrying to remain free of unsecured debt and build up some savings.

I think people prefer using wifi indoors wherever possible, especially at home.
Yes, you are probably right. However, in my case last night and this morning, I was not receiving anything on wifi (as well as 3G). I then belatedly remembered to pull my battery. So, the problem admittedly, at home, was not with Orange after all but with my phone set-up.
However, the problem with patchy reception when out and about is still acute and unrelated to the handset itself.0 -
My short lived stint on Orange has been absolutely terrible. Can't receive calls, get signal in most places - especially indoors. On hold with EE at the moment getting moved over, hoping 4G will be better.Trying to remain free of unsecured debt and build up some savings.
