jackieo glad dd is safe and well. my friend is supposed to be flying out thursday but I can't see it happening.

Evening all. Still no heating in the new house. All four of us are now emailing and calling daily and catching them face-to-face when we can. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon otherwise they know they will have a hefty electric bill to pay when we resort to electric heaters (bills are inc in rent). My Dad is going to have a word with them when he's down thursday for my graduation - he's brining 45 bog rolls from costco with him too, the stuff that dreams are made of :rotfl:

There is a programme on BBC1 tonight called Britain's Hidden hungry at 10.25 or it might be 10.35 ...It looks very interesting it is about food banks and those unlucky enough to have to use them

    Evening all,

First chance to post today. Hugs for all the poorlies and fed ups.
Tru sorry to hear about your hen.

Well had a strange morning didn't feel like I could get on waiting for the phone to ring. So I'm still waiting, absolutely typical of an educational institution. They promised to ring all candidates today to let them know if they are through to the second interview. It makes me so mad, I just think its rude not to let people know what's happening:mad::mad: it's not even about if I've been successful or not its just manners:mad: Grrrr anyway rant over if they don't ring tomorrow I suppose I shall have to ring them

So dh was home after lunch. We nipped to our local dec@thlon as I needed some new trainers for my hols and dh needed some of those wrap around sporty sunglasses ( he will play golf a lot while we are away) and they are a pretty good price there.
Tea tonight was chicken new potatoes and veg with a cheesy leek sauce for the boys and just had mine plain.

Have just caught up with girls the new show on sky Atlantic, think I am going to love it.
Just off to see what Stephanie Plum is up to bk 7 .
Enjoy the rest of your evening x

    Evening everyone

A late posting from me, been up north for 4 days, set off sat morning, driving took over 6 hours, saw 3 accidents on the m1, 1 appeared to be a motorbike accident and it looked like they were still working on the person in the central reservation when I passed. Just very grateful that I got there in 1 piece. Made me realise it didnt matter how long the journey took as long as we were safe. Came back today a better journey time but it was so busy on the m6,m1 & m25. Got back at about 8pm.

    os today nothing at all.

JackieO - glad your dd is safe, my aunty is also in NY, she was due to fly back today but has been put back till at least Thursday, she has let us know she is safe and that she has enough medication as she is diabetic.
Tru - sorry to hear about your hen.
BB - Sending lots of ((hugs)). It sometimes do us good to cry. When I feel down I always end up crying too. I am worse in winter though I have got to say.
Judi - congratulations to your dd.
Flutterby - hope you feel better soon.
Lw - Hope the specialist can help with your pain.
    Molly ((hugs))
    Beemuzed - thinking of you.

Sorry If I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care
