    Hi all

    Just a quick update.

Eric and Ernie are back from the vets, where they told me that they would be woozy and sleepy for upto 48 hours.

They are currently trying to headbut themselves through the locked cat flap.... Then beating each other up and making their weird little chirrup sounds - furbabies are nuts.....

At least they seem OK after their little operations.:o

    Afternoon All

JackieO = Hope DD and her OH are safe, what a shame for them.
Tru - So sorry you lost your hen, you did your best for her.
FB - Hope you're resting now, look after yourself.
Islandmaid - Hope Eric and Ernie make a speedy recovery. (Love the names!).
BB - Hope you feel better soon.
LW - Let's hope the experts come up with something soon for you.
Hugs to those not feeling quite 'right'.

Busy day at work but the day passed quickly. Took my car back to the garage that did the paint job as it came back with a scrape down the side, they polished it so it doesn't look as bad and put fuel in to replace what seems to have been used whilst it was away.

Home to sort a few bits and bobs and then meeting DD at the cinema - going to see Madagascar 3 (like the big kids we are!).

    Take care. XX
  • BB - it's not til the 14th hun! But thanks for thinking of me. They did ring and ask if I could come in tomorrow as they had cancelation but I'm so glad I said no now!

Feeling bit better now. Finished an hour early, had a nice hot bath, and am now on sofa in my pjs. Going to attempt some dinner tonight, mash and beans. Small portion.

Just had a quick skim through.

    BB. lots of hugs.

Isalndmaid. Love Eric and Ernie! Always fascinates me what people name their pets. My chickens were Hinge and Bracket, (remember them?) French and Saunders and Elsie and Doris. I stopped then because I couldn't think of any more comedienne duos.

LW. You are having a tough time. Wish I could transplant a bit of my undeserved health. If it won't offend you I'll offer up some healing prayers and light a candle or two. It may not be an answer to your problems but I can't think of anything else to do.

FB. Hope you feel better soon. Wrap up warm and stay cosy.

Utter, utter chaos here. I'm running like mad in the hope of standing still, if you see what I mean. I have about 2 weeks work to do in the next 4 days and I should not be here talking to you. I feel exhausted and emotionally drained. Never mind. Upward and Onward.

    When does retirement start, please?

It doesn't offend me at all, my friend; indeed, I'd be most grateful.:o

Just waiting for Mr LW to appear, then we have to do a quick Mr T run before dins; we were going to do it tomorrow, but one of us needs to be here tomorrow to take delivery of a new graphics card for Mr LW's 'puter (an expense we could have done without, but hey ho).

Luckily it's nut loaf with sweet'n'sour rice for dins; I've prepared as much in advance as I can, so I'll get that on the go when we get back, while Mr LW does his WiiFit.;)

Evening folks. JackieO I'm pleased you've heard from your DD and that they are fine
Tru - so sorry about your hen. So glad you managed to get her into the house though.
What is it about all this cold and generally bleh bug that's going round? It seems to last for aaaages. DH has had it for over a week, my DD's OH had it for a while too and I came home early from work today because I felt so hot and sick. It's like a sore throat, then full blast head cold but with sicky feeling too. Bleh.
    Anyway.
I've been reading daily but haven't posted so much lately. Thinking of those who are finding things hard going.

BB, sorry to hear you are feeling down.
Hugs to Molly, tru & Judi.
We went to a garden center to look for tubs for my fruit trees & found ones we liked & could afford. Hubby picked one up & it immediately split in two, filled my shoes with water & soaked my trousers from the knees down. We were supposed to be eating out too, but the place we had intended to go had closed down & my feet were cold & wet, so we came home.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
