Help - my PDA is dying - what to replace it with?

I think my PDA is dying
I've had a Palm Tungsten E2 for about 7 years now, love it to death, but I think it's dying.
So now I need to replace it.
Of course, nobody does PDAs anymore, it's all about smartphones, but what I want is a device that has a calendar, contacts, reminders, tasks, spreadsheets, and synchs to my PC. Maybe can download a few games, for when I'm waiting for people...
What should I choose?
I don't go online on my phone, I don't listen to music, I don't want a fixed contract (I spend about £15 a year).
I've googled and some people mention tablets, but they're huge, I want a screen of about 4/5" tops.
Any ideas?

See this recent thread and pay attention to Huawei G300 that is believed to be the best value for money smartphone ATM: Find me a phone please?
It does everything you want, especially (but not only) if you have a google account that incorporates both e-mail and calendar.
Of course, there are many more expensive options if you want to spend more.
There are a few cheaper smartphones either.
I don't know what sort of functionality you need from spreadsheets, but there are many apps that do this: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=spreadsheet&c=apps
If you don't want mobile internet, make sure that it is disabled in your tariff. In this case you'll need wifi at home.0 -
It would be very cheap to replace it with another Palm! Tungsten T5 or TX (one of them at least has WiFi!).
Anyway, it's possible, jumping through a few hoops once, to get your Contacts, Calendar etc onto a GMail account from Palm Desktop, then once it's 'in the cloud' and you logon to an Android device with your GMail account, you'll have everything there again. You've missed out webOS but PalmOS will be pretty painless and quite impressive at this point! Look for second hand HTC Sensations or Samsung Galaxy S2, or Galaxy Nexus S on eBay.0 -
all depends on how much you want to spend, as above the G300 is really good for the price, however upping the budget can get some very impressive options, but you have to weight up the extra cost against your needs and desires
the new Nexus 4 is looking like a very interesting option fo the price, as the specs are really good, and the price for those specs is impressive, but still around 2-3 times the price of the G300
another option is something like the nokia lumia 820 due to be released shortly as well, this has the big plus of having the full microsoft office included, but is expected to be even more than the nexus 4 so probably looking at 3-4 times the price of the G300
a potential downfall of the Nexus 4 and Lumia 820 are of cause that they have not yet been released so actual hands on reviews are not available so they could turn out to be rubish, but specs wise do look interesting, if your willing to pay for them when something like the G300 would more than likely be up to the taskDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
