Hi - I don't think 30 is old and you don't need a lot to help things on a bit and make the best of your best features. I would recommend the basis of having a good skin routine - if you have that then your skin is going to love you. I use Liz earle - a little more pricey than i am used to paying, but feels so good on my skin. cleanse and polish, toner and moisturiser. I think good eye products are worth their weight in gold. I also recommend using sunscreen everyday. Once that is dealt with, i have been using bare escentuals for about 8 months and if you are not used to makeup, its really easy to use, has a nice finish and you don't need a lot. You just match your skin tone to the right shade and then you are sorted. I just use powder, and lip stick, to have a natural look, but depends on what you would like to try. I find tinted moisturiser is better than foubdation if you are not used to using make up especially now in the warmer weather.
Also a good mascara is a must, and a nice lip gloss
for everyday wear I use tinted moisturiser on my face, a bit of bronzer on the cheeks just to warm my face up, mascara and lip gloss.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
at the moment im a big fan of the body shop foundation as i think it gives me the all day cover i need and i can touch it up if im going out straight from work
like others i do beleive a good foundation is worth it, all it takes is one look in my make up box to see this for me, theres bobbi brown, clinique
at the end of last year i was looking for a new foundation and went to the bobbi brown counter in frasers in glasgow and the girl was lovely, she recommended the shade i needed which was light enough for day wear to look natural as i use bronzer or blusher to spice it up for evening wear - she recommended me a shimmer block which at 28quid i was a bit woah thats a bit expensive but it was a bronzer and could also double up as eyeshadow if ouit - actually found a similar thing in the body shop for 14 so im glad i never bought it
ok she recommended other stuff like eyeshadow etc but i didnt want it, i bought the concealer and foundation and nearly 4 months later i still have some left and thats been worn nearly every working day and for going out so it does last as i dont need to use as much of it as i did with the loreal foundations i was using before
im using loreal mascara at the moment, the telescopic one, forunately i have long eye lashes but i think my best feature is my eyes so like to make them look dramatic, but i have a problem that if i wear even waterproof mascara on my bottom lashes i end up with teh panada effect by the end of the night and so far the telescopic mascara doesnt do that0 -
how do you get the orange foundation look anyway-with the cheekbone blusher? Is it selftan on foudnation or bronzer dusted all over I need to try it for a friends party ?Love can tame the wildest0

Bunny, would you recommend using powder after the foundation or just use the foundation and moisturiser and nothing else.
Also, I am tempted to guess the shade of the double-wear and order now from Boots, but I guess that's not a good idea?0 -
Thanks Bunnyinthelights. I had thought about tattooing, but I'm a bit of a wuss where pain's concerned :rotfl: and I wouldn't know where to start asking around for prices etc. Have you any idea of the cost?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0

Fresco, Pebble and Shell Beige are the most popular choices. It is a fantastic make up...but do dilute it with moisturiser, or it is too cakey - it doesn't affect its longevity.
I would recommend you take the time for a trip to Boots or Debenhams and try the shades out. It is a lot of money to spend on a mistake - although there are a lot of other peoples mistakes going cheap on eBay!!
