  • I have to "hand" it to you , you have some serious problems there pal. 7-8 Years and now you feel it is permanent , and you want compensation. How old were you then , did you not realise it was cold?

I realise me bringing this up was years ago I'll admit that myself, but I won against my college on a matter involving certificates which drags back 6 years ago and I got them to pay for my replacement certificates.

A lot of people doubted I'd win that and I did, but think what you like. I really do not care because I've proved people like you to be wrong before.

Why post here and risk ridiclue in the first place? there are thousands of solicitors/companies offering no win no free, why not just go to one of them?

Perhaps the OP should put this up as a Moral Dilemma of the Week in Martin's newsletter, and thus expose himself to a greater body of opinion?

Your attitude symbolises everything that has gone wrong with society.
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

When I was young I worked for Icelands supermarket for 2 weeks, which was a good 7 or 8 years ago. I know what I'm saying could be deemed as petty by some but to me its not.

I used to stack frozen food in Icelands and I wasn't supplied with personal protective equipment (safety gloves) to this day my skin on my hand is so sore and irritating. I used to hate stacking the freezers so much that I only used to use my right hand and my skin now hasn't got better at all over the years. I voiced my concern to the then manager back then but still wasn't given gloves so eventually I walked out on the job. The skin on my left hand is perfectly fine but my right hand I'm convinced is permanently like this, it like I've got eczema on my right hand.

I just wanted to know do I have any grounds to make a claim against Icelands for Health and Safety reasons, if so how can I go about it.

    All help appreciated.

You may have if you had claimed at the time but you only have 3 years from when the injury was caused to make a claim or 3 years from your 18th birthday if you were a minor at the time.

Therefore you would be way out of time now.
