    I had thought of that.
But, after bending over backwards trying to help them.
I've not had any further contact from them since yesterday......after they asked if I would undo the combined invoice, which I've done.
Guess I'm just a bit miffed with it all now TBH.
I'll message them in the morning and see what happens.

You wouldn't do it for them, but for you, to protect your dsr etc.
There are so many things I do for that reason, who is right/wrong and even pride don't come to it, it's a business decision for me.

    Yeah, you're right terra_ferma.

I'll message them in a bit and offer alternative ways to pay again or a mutual cancellation.

I'd be very surprised if they pay up - is the buyer new to eBay? If not, how did they manage to successfully purchase all their previous items?

If you suggest sending a cheque, they'll say they don't have a bank account.

If you suggest sending a Postal Order, they'll say they don't have a post office!

And if you suggest they log on to a library /college/friend's computer to make a Paypal payment, they'll say they don't have any library or college or friends... the last bit may be true! ;)

LOL! porto, you know I suspect you are quite right.

In fact, the no friends with a computer definitely is right, as they've 'just moved and have no friends'

I've gone past the miffed stage now and I'm finding it all a bit amusing and looking forward to what they'll come up with next.

OK, so I've had no contact at all from the buyer since 30 Oct.

I did message yesterday offering alternative payment methods and also a mutual cancellation. No reply from them even though they have been leaving feedback for other items that they have bought.

Having taken on board terra_fermas advice, I'm not sure what to do now. If I send a mutual cancellation request what happens? As I've never done one before. Or do I just go down the NPB route?

A cancellation leaves them open to say no, then you'll be stuck with the item, no money and no way to get your fees back.

A NPB will get your fees refunded.
