Help! I have a very confused buyer!

I doubt you'll get your money, if they really wanted the item they would have found a way, normally the issue is combining items, not paying for them. Could it be that it's more expensive to buy them individually without combined postage and they think they would be worse off?0

Sounds like they don't want them to be honest, I would tell them to send a cheque too and leave it at that.0

As the problem is with paying for the two combined tell them to pay for the two items separately as normal and ignore your combined invoice. This will cost them more in postage and (assuming you want to) you can offer to put the discount in the parcel as stamps. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Well, I've already explained to them the 'safari' thing. That doesn't work apparently.
I've offered to take a cheque or postal order.
I have undone the combined invoice, at the buyers request I might add.
I don't think they'll pay either.
So tomorrow I shall open a NPB case, as quite frankly there is nothing else I can do to help them. *sigh*0 -

People have odd priorities, I've seen people at the shops getting a trolley load of value range items, then whipping out their expensive iPhone while waiting to pay!
Maybe they don't want to own a computer? And maybe the people you see in the supermarket are saving money on the boring everyday essentials so that they can afford to have luxuries like an iPhone in their lives? Where's the law that says you must own a computer or that you're only allowed to buy expensive food if you have an expensive phone or vice versa?! I don't see the point of spending more than I have to on food - maybe I should sell all my nice possessions and live in a box
Going back to the OP, I think this particular buyer is just TSFE, my OH can pay for things just fine on his iPhone using the browser so god knows what this buyer's problem is!0 -

Heh, my comments were maybe a bit of a sweeping generalization, but for me if it was the choice between having to have fatty value mince, watery value chicken, tasteless value cheese, etc or a smart phone, I wouldn't sacrifice my food.
That said, the particular family I saw looked pretty chavvy0 -

I would offer a cancellation, NPB are a bit risky, if the find a way of paying you could end up with a neg/low stars
In my experience NPB after there has been some contact and the buyer was (allegedly or otherwise) trying to pay, can cause problems.0 -

Nah you're right, there is a line when it comes to the value stuff! And also *whispers* maybe the phone was nicked anyway

I had thought of that.
But, after bending over backwards trying to help them.
I've not had any further contact from them since yesterday......after they asked if I would undo the combined invoice, which I've done.
Guess I'm just a bit miffed with it all now TBH.
I'll message them in the morning and see what happens.0 -
