  • So, if I read right - you ordered the vouchers yesterday at 5.30pm and Tesco's system did let you down. However, by 11.30am the NEXT morning you have the vouchers ready to use.

I'd call that pretty good customer service to be honest. If that is a 'NIGHTMARE' then you've had far too easy a life! :rotfl:

My life has been far from easy and as someone who does not know me personally I dont feel u have the right to comment there.

No not really I may have been given back my vouchers that I still have to use online but the items I wanted were on offer.(are u following so far) Therefore, although I can use them today the offer has now expired thus making the items full price and therefore instead of the items I wanted being FREE it means they will cost me money.

How about quote of the day unless you have something nice and positive to say you really should keep your mouth shut and not be rude to people. I have or hope I have not been rude or offensive to anyone just tried helping people via this forum but you have been rude towards me and for what? Exactly nothing :(

Keep your hair on and I was hardly rude - I merely pointed out that their customer service response was actually quite quick and your vouchers were restored well within twenty-four hours.

My comment on your life was light-hearted and should have been read as such. I don't know you at all so how would I be making a specific and personal comment? Look at the smiley I used...

As for the deal you missed out on - yes, it would have been lovely if they could have honoured it but they 'owe' you precisely nothing as you didn't have a contract with them as you were unable to purchase the goods. I'd recommend that you keep an eye on the website and see if the reduction is repeated or a similar deal occurs - most retailers do this. Equally, another bargain may well arise that you can take advantage of.

By the way - this is a discussion forum and if you are going to go on about 'nightmare' service then other posters have a right to comment.

  • I looked at a bed yesterday lunchtime and decided I best order my vouchers straight away as there was also a 20% off beds promotion on. The voucher codes did not come through until 11pm and when I went onto complete my order the site was down for maintenance.

I came back from work today to complete my order only to find that the 20% offer has now expired. I called Tesco customer services and they agreed to honour yesterdays price due to their delay in sending the voucher codes through. However I have initially to pay the full price and they will then refund me the 20%.

So happy to have my problem resolved
  • Always shopped in Asda or Morrisons but decided in the New Year of January 2012 to totally spend every penny at Tesco to see how I did with the points. After spending over £10,000 a third of my salary I have managed to gain £115 in clubcard vouchers as I joined the Christmas saving club. I was extremely happy to receive these and am totally new to the whole thing and have found the whole experience so far to be a complete and utter NIGHTMARE.

I found a link on MSE yesterday to Teco groceries with 1/2 price gift sets for Christmas (which run out today), all of which had a double up exchange banner on them.

Being completely new I wanted to make sure 1, I used my clubcard vouchers to the best of their ability and 2, I did it right.

First at 5:30pm yesterday I found all items I wanted and made sure they added up in my basket for £50.50 so I could use £20 to exchange for £40 and £10.50 out of my additional savers I had saved myself through Tesco through out the year. On completion of all this I proceeded to the exchange and exchanged £20 for £40 through groceries, after waiting 3 hours, instead of the recommended 30 minutes I finally received my email of my e-coupons to find they did not work. Feeling completely deflated and the fact it was now gone 11pm I went to bed to try and resolve in the morning by telephone.

9AM this morning I rang clubcard rewards and spoke to a lovely chap there who went through everything and told me I did everything CORRECT phewww i'm thinking as I originally believed I had "£$% up. He told me even though it was all done correct he had to put me through to groceries to resolve it okay I said.

9:30AM i'm through to groceries having to explain everything once again and the fact I have not "£$% up Tesco's has. I am then told for some unknown reason and of course no fault of my own but the e-coupons did not work and they will have to email me new ones (still awaiting these). Also due to the half price ending today I will miss this so explained to the member of staff I was not happy and wanted to file a complaint as the error was by Tesco and not me I do not see why I should suffer.

Now it is gone 10AM and i'm being told I will have a call back received this shortly after the termination of the call and spoke to a manager. He has apologised for big mess and advised me to go ahead with ordering products but after today will cost me full price £101 and I would have to pay £50.50 where as before I was getting it all FREE but he has said he will refund me the £50.50 so I am still in the same financial situation had it all gone through yesterday.

It is now nearly half 11 I am still yet to receive my new e-coupons and am so sceptical about proceeding just in case I do not get any refund. So sorry for any of you who have taken the time to even bother reading this.

Rant over from a very unhappy Tesco customer :(

    Hi,

The half price gift sets are now on offer until next week. Not sure if it's all of them but the ones i bought last week are still on offer.

I gained £90 of clubcard voucher in the last 8 months and have probably spend a grand total of less than £100 in tesco. I think you're doing something wrong;)
