Morning, still here but mostly lurking.

Stuck in today waiting for two parcels (allegedly "out for delivery") so I've done the kitchen/diner, polished and vacuumed right through downstairs and up the stairs and taken everything out from under the kitchen sink and sorted/tidied and the same in the bottom of the airing cupboard where I keep all the toiletries. So I've got rid of another couple of bags of rubbish before black bin day tomorrow.

    Hope everyone's OK.

    Back to lurking....

Very productive. The shower room and kitchen sink are sparkling, sticky patches are all gone and I've finally finished lining the shelves in a new built in cupboard. I'm so inspired I'm going to do the other one which will take a couple of hours to clear, line and restack, and that's me for the day.

Sorry about the bunny GoodIntentions and I'm glad Gracie the cat came back DanceMum. Dusty, could you come and find a book for me. It's here somewhere ....

    Hi Seafarer's!

I couldn't get on earlier because I'm still sharing DH's laptop with DS2. Must phone sky earlier.

Apart from regular kitchen dailies I've decided to start with the LR today in case someone knocks at the door. Some bits are looking better, but there's lots left to do. DS2 is playing next door, DS1 needs to get ready for work soon and DH is due home for lunch in a bit. I'll clear a bit more floor before it gets busy again, I think.

Must also defrost beef for tea (stew) - I'm hoping to get two meals out of it, but not sure if it's possible to freeze dumplings. I might even save it for tomorrow and do it in the SC instead. :D Just need to come up with something else for today.

    Back later this afternoon. x
  • Workmen have arrived :j They made sure I filled the kettle before they switched the water off! :D

I have cleaned the sink, and I am in the process of cleaning the fridge. I need to go shopping, so it is not too full. I am giving it a good clean by taking out the shelves/drawers & washing in hot soapy water. This means that I have to do it in stages as I need some shelves to put the the food on while I am waiting for others to dry. I need to do a shopping list as well, and decide what we are having to eat this week.

The kitchen is looking ok - but it is not getting my essay done :o

  • I'd get rid - even charity shops don't want them these days. Anything you really want you will get on DVD!

You've read my mind! My local charity shop doesn't want them - I asked. So yes. Time to bite the bullet and chuck. Silly thing is, I won't even notice they're gone in the sense that I don't use them anyway. When Come Dine is over, I'll do it!

Well I'm back - I've done some shopping on the way and picked up my free lego. I now have 6 pumpkins to scrape out ready for carving tonight and I need to go back out in a couple of hours to pick the kids up. Dinner might be nice too!

Hi, I'm afraid I won't be in this week; S&S only til Saturday.

Mary's a sweet, lovely little dog, but she has a major incontinence problem, so I'm going to be hard put keeping up with cleaning up after her. Bless her, she's 14 years old at least, possibly older (It was thought she was about 1 year old when she wandered into her owners' lives, having followed their dog home, and they were unable to find out where she'd come from).

Plus, I'm running out of newspaper!

I'm also in stupid amounts of pain with my joints, so even a relatively simple task is difficult and time-consuming.

Hopefully a bit more back to normal next week, when my old mate Dylan will be staying.:o

I'm currently typing one-handed, with Mary sat on a towel on my lap!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Lamewolf if you're still about, my elderly lady dog (she'll be 16 next January) was put straight on to Propalin Syrup as she puddled everywhere on the wool carpets from the fifth day after I adopted her three years ago. It's marvellous stuff and works for spayed female dogs. Can you ask the owner if it would be okay to ask a vet to prescribe it?
