No Power To Cooker, Cannot See A Fuse

Hi,
Before shelling out I thought I would try here. Basically no electric to the cooker. The box was tripped so turned on. Still no power as clock is not on. Everything in house works fine. There is no visible fuse on the front of the cooker like the rest of the appliances. I did remove the switch from the wall which had like a little black box with all the wires attached into, but didn't see a visible fuse. Any ideas? My partner is already looking at new cookers
Thanks for the read.

Maske sure you have electric going to the cooker socket first. Sounds like an electrical problem to me. Try turning the breaker off and on at the fuse board for starters.0

Thanks for the reply. Tried off and on with a reset and manually flicking the 30A on the left, and the 80A on the right. Most images Ive seen have a fuse located on the front of the switch, there is none on mine, just a switch. Just a little black box on the back with all the wires going into.0

Is say next step is to make sure you have electric at the cooker socket then. The sockets you talk about with a fuse at the front are different to a cooker switch. A cooker switch doesnt have a fuse built into it much like a normal socket0

Does this mean I need one of those little 2 pronged things that attach to check for a voltage? If so I think I need to call in someone.0

no all you need is a wet finger.
No your best bet would be to buy one of them screwdrivers which light up when you press it onto the live screw in the socket. Let me see if i csan find a picture of one so you know hat im talking about.v They are only a couple of quid0 -

those things are as useful as a fart in space and dangerous they use your body as a circui tand they are as safe as using a blowtorch on a live gas pipe they belong in the bin
you are right in 1 aspect they need to see if power is geting to the appliance but safely but playing with live electrics with a neon screwdriver is asking for trouble0 -
