  • If it was on DVLA Registrations site it would probably be in the cheapest £250 bracket plates.

    To me it's just a 1993 L reg :)

uk registration laws are so strict, in the US they can have full words in range of allowable fonts. I know some people take it to extremes, saw one guy on reddit with B8B8B8B8B8 as his number plate. Which I think should be controlled, but not the font style (within reason) and the exact icon/flag and border styling etc.

The rules dont have any allowances for vintage cars. E.g if you own a street legal verson of this car (or any other vintage roadstar). You cant stick on the reg with those sticker plater across the tip of the bonnet, you have to have a standard plate that's perfectily verticle. Making them looks a bit silly.

also the aventador poses difficult UK reg plate complicance challenges. Dunno how the owners are getting by, i think they probably just keep it off and then pay the 60 quid fine if stopped (though new rules mean if a car is pulled over for the same issue, they'll just impound the car rather than give fines repetitively)

 Or they could just save all the hassle and put a number plate on the front...

neither of these two plates comply with uk rules. both are smaller, at least the top on has its white space trimmed which makes it technically illegal

And just what are the UK rules?

I don't believe there is a set size for a number plate, just the font and spacing.

However, I am willing to be proven wrong.
