Hoping to be able to get home early from work one evening this week to talk to payplan and make a few other important enquiries but it isn't looking like it will happen. I'm falling asleep when I'm supposed to be planning lessons. I'm going back to my old ways of staying up late etc. It is a joke. This is supposed to make me feel better (and I was), I'm just tieing myself up in knots about the whole thing. I suppose a lot of it is it being down to the OR... what if mine takes a dislike to me and we have to pay out 75% of our surplus???
I'm not sure if I can cope with 75% time table next year but financially I don't think we can cope with less than this. 0.66 works out at 15690 or something like that. Might be that per month it isn't much less than 0.75 (18950 or something like that) especially with how they fall relative to tax bands but I don't know. It seems like such a big drop. Dawn is investigating tax benefts etc at the moment.
Falling asleep againnnnnnnnnnn sh

STUPID BANK!!!!!!!!!!!
Mucking about with our direct debits and costing us money!!!!!
Withdrew too much one week and miscalculated when a payment would go in compared to when a direct debit would come out and since then we've been on a spiral of charges and mishaps... just waiting for Dawn's next benefit payment! Have tried to keep enough in there to cover the broadband payment that was due, kept having to add to it as they took off stupid amounts of charges here, there and everywhere for bounced direct debits... first one was our fault, since then we've only been bouncing them because they've taken the money out of our account in charges!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are fine and dandy overall in a month but one stupid mishap like this at the low income part of the month and the scum bags have kept us bouncing around an unauthorised overdraft for a week or so. ALL BECAUSE OF THEIR CHARGES. We've enough to pay the direct debits in there and going in but not enough until my pay day to pay their stupid charges (excuse my language but how the !!!! does it cost a bank to refuse one payment? It is electronic! It costs us so they double whammy us!!!!!). Now the broadband has been cut off... our only contact to the world, we're doing so much to sort out our bankcruptcy on here, so many things to read and I can't at home now. UNTIL 9am there was money in the account to pay for it. Then they transferred £10 to another of our accounts, Dawn saw this and immediately transferred it back but the broadband direct debit came out at 9.05 and she transferred at 9.07. Because there was insufficient funds they decided to whack another HUGE charge on top so we've got to pay something like £50 or 60 into our account in order to be able to pay a £21 payment!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID STUPID STUPID BANK!!!!!!!!
I'm now fuming, how can we sort anything out if the bank keeps doing this. Until this month our funds have been fine for years now. One miscalculation and this bloody charging cycle, we're so carefully balanced on the cash in the account and our direct debits at this time of the month, this is just beyond a joke, we must have spent an extra £200 or so on fees, fees that were only added because of their fees forcing us overdrawn!!!!!!!!
I've had enough.
I've a good mind to just say sod it. Transfer all direct debits now, all payments now, shove 'em all in a friend's account and let them ramp up the fees, screw 'em let the whole lot go with the bankcruptcy. Had enough.
Do we have to start claiming bank fees back while we have the account with them or can we wait until bankcrupcy is discharged etc before doing it?
Arrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhh
Going to ask a friend to pay our broadband this month. Hopefully it'll be online tonight.
Sorry for ranting.

Wh-hoooooooo!!!!!!!
T'interweb at home again... good to have friends, embarressing to have to ask for help but it means the £50 saved for filing is safe and hasn't paid any bank fees.
REALLY annoyed with bank for putting us in this mess. We made one mistake (and it was only a £10 Direct Debit) and they have penalised us for it over and over.
REALLY hope we can claim our bank charges back after the closure of the account. I've heard it may be possible to get a rapid outcome from them on charges though, this might be a better option, as long as it would come before the filing!!!
Thanks Neko, just feeling up to my eyes in it and work is turning on the pressure, I need to go back to a full timetable before they will confirm a part-time timetable next year, if I can't cope at the mo they'll write me off I guess, not the head or Dept, this is governers pressure, lots of support from head etc. Just feeling really downtrodden again... sorry all.
Some more good news, my anonymous email to the housing association got a simple reply "If you aren't in arrears to us then you don't need to tell us about bankcruptcy, we don't need to know, it effects nothing." We're not!!! Wh-hooo (in fact we've got a credit that we may use for filing fee or leave with them for the mo in case of problems). But they did say they'd do what they could to help anyone even if they had arrears... not going there again though, just finished paying arrears from a few years back, NO NEW DEBTS!!! That is our watchword... shame about the B*****DS in the bank ruining a perfectly good record on that!
Thanks and sorry again all.0 -
Glad the Anon email idea worked for you matey !!
Dont forget also.. If you have any arrears on your Gas, Elec, Water & Ctax.. you can include them.. Infact, it may be a tad irresponsible.. when I knew I was filing for B.. I had arrears on all my accounts with gas etc etc.. I stopped paying 2 months before.. helps save the money. The utilities have to write off the amount and set up new accounts you see.0 -
Oooooooh they HAVE to???
Theres an idea...
Shame we can't do that with electric... on a key... have to make sure they take the ancient arrears off that so we're only paying electric.
Thanks for that, didn't think about the fact that they'd HAVE to keep us on the books.0
