    Forgot to say this earlier.

Dawn is home. Things still not terrific.

Due to this upset and a few other problems we've had BR may be delayed...

...which is upsetting to begin with as we've finally got a light at the end of the tunnel but it is also potentially rewarding. We are thinking about claiming back bank charges to pay for the majority of the fee (which saves us the problem about what to do about them) and due to the delay we'll face from the bank we might even see that cheque from work before we go BR which'll be a big help to be honest.

Gosh, how long do you think you might have to delay things? sorry about that - it must feel a bit like one step forward, two steps back at the moment.

    Just a bit!!!

Not too long hopefully. Waiting to hear back from several folks at the moment such as the NUT and the Teacher's Support Network. If I hear positively from them then it may be a little sooner.

uggg   Just want to get it over with so we can start rebuilding our lives. With no real surplus as it stands it would take years and years (even with money saving techniques) to get anywhere and our credit history would still be shocking at the end. This way at least it will all be at an end and we can rebuild our lives.

    Thanks guys and gals.

Keep your chin up Alan and just keep focusing on that light at the end of the tunnel, but most importantly you and Dawn look after each other

Light? Its just an oncoming train to avoid or some b*stard with more work or problems. I'm pretty much convinced this "end of the tunnel" was made up by some religious zealot just to convince me to get into the tunnel in the first place.

Haha, soooo true Alan. I feel that way about the American dream - its just propaganda to keep the workers in their rightful places - at the bottom of the food chain!

Given that Dawn watches that trash idol programme from the states I have to say you've MORE than hit the nail on the head. They had a charity version last night. The richest country in the world and Save the Children was having to go there to work with communities IN AMERICA!

    Urgent advice needed

Does the following have any teeth (especially with bankcruptcy being 2 months away at most):

    "
    Visit by Debt Investigation Officer

    Blah, Blah...

You were informed in our last correspondence of impending court action, as part of that process, we must advise you that authority has now been granted to proceed with a Personal Visitation by a Debt Investigation Officier at your home address.

    Blah, Blah...
    "

Is this just a normal letter thing and much like many, many past ones we file it in the round file (well, actually in the bag of stuff to give to the OR), don't answer the door buzzer (getting friends and family to call if they are here) and making sure all doors and windows are securely shut even when we are in the house or is this something more serious?

    HELP!! PLEASE!!

    Alan xxxx
