On the contrary, they have all the power in the world to recover losses, but what they seek from you is not a loss, it is a claim based on false terms.0

I mean the private individuals i tell my story to feel powerless to get their monies back that they have paid the ppc for there own bogus parking fines.
Unless they have some recourse of course...0 -

Only if they take the PPC to Court!
One case we know of was a Small Claim by Tasneem Patel (a Trainee Solicitor) over a Parking Eye fake PCN paid without a second thought by a hire company. She sued Parking Eye for the money back and won on inadequate signage:

Oh, and I just recalled the Susan Pratt case where she sued Excel and won, here is the case mentioned on pepipoo forum:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/lofiversion/index.php/t34837.html
''I have just got back from court and I owe you big time as I won against Excel Parking - they did turn up and had sent volumes through as defence but I won on unfair contract terms and Excel not being able to demonstate any kind of loss as they were acting for local shops therefore there was no loss to them directly.''
and here's a letter about her win from Susan Pratt to her local paper:

HTH, other than that your acquaintances have been scammed. But they live and learn and hopefully you've explained why they should never pay one again.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

While I like the stance you are taking - I will be pointing people I know to the thread NOT the PPC's :eek:0 -
Well I have received my acknowledgement of receipt of my appeal to POPLA and the letter says they will send my appeal to the PPC and the The PPC have to send their evidence to me. This all seems a very official and long process for it not to be binding on me? I know it isnt as it sates on the web......
I am going to save ALL my other evidence for the Small claims court - should they want to go the distance.
On another - note I spoke to my inlaw who lives in the South - To date he has had several tickets from various PPC's and never paid one of them.
I know in future to IGNORE from the get go.........How we live and learn.....:o
BTW he found out about how to disregard these invoices from here.:cool:0 -
We have lots of satisfied customers here
keep us updated on how it pans out for you
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Received my letter from POPLA with evidence from the PPC included...the PPC has not given POPLA .....ALL the evidence I sent in my appeal. Naughty Naughty.......
Im now sending this additional info in........I am intrigued at how this will all pan out.....I wonder IF they will go to court?0 -

Photographic evidence showing poor sign placement at disabled bays and evidence of misleading signage at the entrance to the car park - compared to the signs they have placed.
They have showed examples of signs at disabled bays as their evidence but left my evidence contrary to this OUT of the appeal.
Underhanded practices imho and not surprising - though egh...0
