The guy in the shop said that the Huawei didn't have a very loud ringtone (no good to me). He didn't have one set up. He said, other than that, there was nothing in them, though the Huawei would need unlocking to use on 02. I can't really wait a couple of weeks till they bring one out on other networks, as I've no phone. Any thoughts.
Yes, he's spinning you a tale
. The G300 beats the Galaxy Ace easily.

Plus it can actually be had for £66 from Very with a bit of effort with next day delivery.
It costs £5 and takes 12-18 hours to get the unlock code off ebay.
PS the low ringtone was solved ages ago by official update 892.0 -
I've got the Samsung Ace 2 and its one of the best phones I have had.0

Thanks for that. They look similar to me but I don't understand all the technical stuff. I can see that the G300 has a bigger screen but the Galaxy Ace seems to have better battery life. And is the glass better?

Glass is exactly the same - both Gorilla but gsmarena have omitted it in the G300's info. The G300 has the double whammy of having a bigger and better (check out the ppi pixel density figures, bigger is better) screen. Waaayyy more storage space as well (important for apps).0 -
Thanks again. I'm going to try and buy this but not sure how to get that code from post 590.0

You just follow the instructions in the opening post of that HUKD thread but use Very instead of Isme and use the promo code in post 490 instead of the expired code in the opening post. But don't forget to go through Quidco/topcashback for £7 cash back. Any problems don't hesitate to ask, there are plenty of posters on here who have got the phone this way so no worries if advice needed.0 -
Thanks again, got all the way to accepting a credit agreement, then stopped. Nowhere has it asked for a code. Can't see the how the discount works. Sorry I'm not used to this method0

IIRC the box to input the code is right near the end of the process. Anyone else remember the exact page to input it?
Edit: Yes, the promo code box is definitely at the checkout stage.0 -

Millicent, thanks for all you help. Tried again at lunch time, seems the only way I can get discount is to sign up for credit, which I don't want. Then I've got to pay for unlocking. Someone needs to be in for delivery too. I saw the phone in Sainsburys for £100 but no discount and not available in Tesco. I'm very tempted to go for the Galaxy. Its a lot less hassle.
Thanks again0
