  • Hello everyone

Since I last posted I've had 7 NSDs=11/12 NSDs.. These were 13,15,17,22,23,24 and 25th November.

Mum is out of hospital after her hip op and his improving daily. Last Thursday she had her 1st hydro- therapy appointment which she enjoyed.

Three advantages of staying with her are:-1, there are more buses to get me to work from where she lives, 2, I'm loosing weight as I'm am sharing portions and 3, I'm getting some good Old Style knowledge from her. Eg., she made a soup using a 50p stewpack from Lidl, blended it in her 1970's Kenwood mixer and got 6 portions of soup out of it 3 are in the freezer.

    DFF
    RBS £2,043.50 @0% until April 2014
    Virgin £2,522.78 @ 0% until November 2015
    Total Debt £4,566.28
    SPC 7 315. Emergency Fund 300/1000.
  • Evening all,

Just listed 10 or so DVD's on Ebay, making use of the free listing weekend before it ends. Did well last week, selling xbox games. All the buyers apart from one paid straight away. Typically, the one who hasn't was the one who bought the most expensive one! It may only been £12.99, but I could use that money.
Let's hope the last couple of games, and the pile of DVD's at least sell. Even if it's only for a quid.

Ruined my NSD today by going to get a McDonalds... Do feel strangely guilty! My first impulse purchase in nearly 3 months though, so can't complain too much.

Just wondering... Do you think my posting the Ebay packages tomorrow would count as spend or not...? Technically the buyer is paying the postage, so in theory it's not me spending the money... I'm just doing the legwork!
It won't be a NSD anyway, because I shall be off to the supermarket at some point for a few groceries and the last few xmas pressies.
Because it's fun to have money!

Right then.......campaign propaganda needs to be organised.

Why do we actually celebrate Christmas by spending squillions. Why can't we just do the food and family and leave it at that??? Discuss............:):)

And (I might be treading on contraversial ground here) as far as I understand it baby Jesus wasn't even born on the 25th of December???? So what is it all about????? Have we been seduced by the power of consumerism????

I have just worn my little grey cells out :rotfl:
    Yup .... that's why I hate it!

Some people buy so much food that you would think the shops were shut for years.
    Bah humbug is all.

This is music to my ears... I loathe Christmas and have done for years, I'd quite happily ban it... and I'm no Scrooge. It's mass consumerism gone mad

    Sorry, rant over:o
