Not sure if anyone can help, I need some long thin red chilli's for my chilli oil - my bottles are 300ml, about 30cm tall but with long thin necks - so I need to get the chilli's down the necks without crushing them, but don't want to use something like birds eye chilli's as these will then just get lost at the bottom of the oil.
I'm looking for something like finger chilli's but I can only find green ones and I really want red.
btw, has anyone had any bad experiences with making infused oil? i read somewhere about an outbreak of botulism in the US after people used chilli's that weren't dried properly - don't want to make anyone ill!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

This is one of the best threads on the forum.
I am always thrilled when someone gives me a handmade gift, and I love doing the same for others. It shows you have spent thought and time on the present.

Kerri gt try Morrisons for chillies!
I got a big bag of them a few months back, red and green finger chillies, they were about £1 for the bag, just next to the fresh ginger etc. I put them straight in to the freezerCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Slightly digressing, but all the supermarkets seem to be jumping on to the spend £xx over £xx weeks and get £xx back
Morrisons £40 spend for 9 out of 10 weeks - get £40 off (not sure minimum spend before Xmas
Tesco - think £80 spend for 4(?) weeks - get £40 off before xmas
Waitrose - just missed start - but there "free money" is spend in New Year
If anyone knows the missing parts be very grateful, xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Thanks, I am not really near a morries but do go past one once a week so might have a look in. in the meantime I have found a fantastic site with all manner of different chillies. They have been super helpful with my questions and although not quite as cheap as Morries, I'm very tempted with some of these
