GreasyPalm what a con

I booked a holiday at the end of Jan 2005, and paid by debit card in effect cash.

I contacted GreasyPalm about a month later on another cashback that aint been paid, after a couple of days waiting for my ticket to be not be answered, I managed to get an email answered for Sarah Knapp. I was duly credited for another item which I requested and also mentioned the holiday which still hadn't been credited.

They told me that I would received credit on 31st March "I can see your purchase with Haven Holidays which is still showing as pending in the retailers data but is due for validation on March 31st - when it will be passed to your account" However have not been credited and they have after 5 days NOT answered my only one ticket which still says viewing after 2 days.

They don't appear to answer emails now either. I have now sent an email to Haven as I am angry that Greasypalm havent yet credited.

I haven't got enough funds to claim back all my money on goods and services yet and I no longer TRUST this company and want to close my account and get any funds I can have.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

I cant help but wonder whether Greasypalm hold on to this money longer than is necessary having now had a reply from the holiday company, its more of what they haven't said then I now suspect Greasyplam are holding on.

    From an email

"Thank you for your email alerting us to the delay in your payment. I am the person who manages Haven's partnerships with sites like GreasyPalm and I have been in contact with them to flag this. I have not yet heard a reply but will follow up with them and keep you posted on their response."

Can anyone tell me if I close my account what happens to the money credited to me if its under the minimum amount?

If you close your account, you'll probably lose your money.

I don't have any issue with sites like Greasypalm, who've paid me plenty of money over the past couple of years. You have to have some patience. Often these sites have to wait a very long time to get paid by the people who advertise with them; they don't make huge amounts of money and have very few staff to deal with queries.

You are getting something for nothing, compared to buying directly from the holiday company, so I would hold on a bit longer before you go round declaring Greasypalm a con.

I wouldn't class waiting for payment over 2 months in patience, in particularly I was told I would be credited on 31st March.. Also we aint getting anything for free, because in getting payment you are purchasing goods or services from credited companies who are paying Greasypalm for your purchasing these.

I am tempted to stop using them because I have lost trust in them, why do they not make it clear when you buy goods you have to wait x amount, they imply it takes up to 30 days but in some cases it can take longer, how long is longer?

Perhaps another cashback site would be better. I wonder given the reason why I want to leave mealy because they appear to deliberately delay payment then I would be entitled to the money in which I paid goods or services for. I couldn't careless about the extras such and home page, or toolbar extras, its the principle that I feel they are slow to pay, but they don't make that clear.

Just to let you know I have now been credited. I like to give credit where it is due. Whether that was a result of me contacting the holiday company or not, but Greasypalm have now credit funds as gesture of good will.

They told me "The reason this had not yet been credited is that Haven Holidays have an approval process that can take some time and until they approve commissions cashback is not added to your account." yet previous email they told me that I would get credited as of 31st March.

If they claim that its down to the holiday company and I dont despute that, I still feel that the system of delay in payments should be made clear, at present it is not.

They probably made their best estimate and expected the payment to be cleared on 31 March.

And I stand by my comment that you've not paid extra - you've had a bung back from GP that you wouldn't otherwise have got. So be patient!

But I could otherwise of got from another refferal scheme, it may be the case that some pay more or less, slower and paying or quicker who knows.

This isnt free money its money I have spent and got some discount, they make some money abet it may not be a lot, as I aint privy to there business practices I cant tell, only speculate.

The problem is lack of information regarding payments, this isnt the first time I have had to contact them on late payments although last time they replied quickly and it wasnt all that long to wait payment.

If I knew a payment was paid on a certain date thats fine I am happy with that afterall I dont have enough funds yet to get a cashback, so they hold on to the money, which in my view is fine too up to £25.

I am having trouble getting a credit to my Greasypalm account as well:mad: . Bought through Greasypalm from Pixmania in December and still no credit. Raised support ticket end January, well after the 30 days they ask you to wait. No reply to ticket by end February so added to ticket asking how long it takes to reply. Got an email saying that by raising another question on my ticket it puts it to the back of the queue. Still not had a reply and ticket is still on hold. wonder how long it will take them to sort it out:confused: .
    Regards

Bought something from Boots in December and filled in a ticket to find out where the rebate was at the beginning of march. After the initial automated reply I've heard nothing.
    Rubbish

GP has been a bit slow of late but I think they're trying to sort things out and when they do reply are very helpful!

Check your Boots as that seems to be one of the companies that pays very quickly and is normally credited after a few days.

Just my view on these sites - Some things may not always get logged if have visited a site earlier ( not via GP/ cashback sites ) or if you have malware on your PC which might redirect the credits

The retailer might be slow in paying, the affillate scheme ( ie tradedoubler might be slow) or issues at the cashback site itself.

I have been happy with GP , had to chase a couple of items , but hey it is money for nothing
