Phew.... caught up.... well i'll be out tomorrow... all day!!!! 8.15am till 9.30pm, (hopefully with a few more whossies to pack away when I get home!) and if I do get a glace at a lappy in the afternoon, I think thats all it will be. So please don't post details of any glitches or i'll be upset. :D

Night night all, and a huge thankyou to all those who have welcomed me back with open arms. :j:beer::j

Good Morning to the Night Shift, and Night Night to everyone else. xx

Hi again, a quick delve into my bnf and it reveals that it's for patients that have not previously been treated with methotrexate :( can cause pancreatitis :( and can cause gastro intestinal haemorrages :(

There's no way they'd let me have that now!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

A big genuine thank you anyway though. :)

    No, you don't want them!

Ah well, it was worth a mention, just in case. Well I hope you get some relief soon. I know how you feel.....well apart from the internal goings on

    Night :)

Ouch that sounds nasty. As AS and RS are auto immune diseases the Humira injections work by lowering the bodies immune system, and has it fair share of side effects because of this, but for me they have been amazing, turned my life around.

Now because of your internal complications they probably wouldn't give you them, because they lower your immune system, but it's worth asking about them. I had never heard of them until recently after switching hospitals from London to Belfast. They sound a bit scary if you read up online about them, but for me they were life changing.

Ps thanks for being so friendly :)

They are also known as etanercept according to my bnf, (which I had heard of) but they wouldn't give them to me anyway because of the pancreatitis (which is now chronic instead of accute). I'm glad you feel so much better on them though. It can be such a debilitating disease. :( Sulfasalizine is an immuno depressant too I spent years eating them before they got their own back!! :rotfl:

Anyway, I haven't seen you here before, are you joining us? :D:D

PS, we're all (mostly!) friendly! :rotfl::rotfl: Pull up a chair, grab a drink and get comfy. :):)

Goodnight Elsie. You've really had a rough time this year with one thing or another. Hope things have started to turn around and get better now.

You don't really have to keep up, a quick glance at the page totals for the day will tell you if there's been a glitch! Then a quick skim through will tell you exactly what it is and how to get it, or just ask the question. Most peeps are happy to help, ignore the trouble makers and stick a couple of quid in the jukebox occasionally and we all win! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was using this thread years ago, but I forgot my log in after I lost the internet for an age so set up a new account and I'm totally addicted again! I try not to miss a post but sometime you have to let real life get in the way. Don't feel like you have to read everything, just join in when it suits. There's usually someone around here!! (drunks at this time of night though!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: )
