We sent it to Roxburghe and threatened them with the police and OFT if they persisted.
They messed their pants and ran a mile.
Please feel free to use or amend as you wish.
But after POFA (October) your company is leaving yourselves open to 'potential liability' if they take that line. Not that it's likely, but wouldn't they prefer no liability?
Fleet Managers are 'supposed to' just provide the details of the staff member whose car it is - and if they provide that name & address within 28 days of getting the first scamogram then your company has ZERO liability at all. I am sure most Fleet Managers would prefer that, even if they are aware the whole thing is a scam.
Can you not just have a standard info sheet for your drivers about this scam and get them to sign to allow their name & address to be pased on to any PPC which writes to your company? Making it clear that the whole thing is a con so NO DRIVER should be just paying up (links to this forum, etc.).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This case has now been passed to Debt Recovery Plus Ltd who I suspect from reading various threads is an aligned or fully owned part of the parking company in question.
They have confirmed that it would be a NPO they would pursue us under, am I correct in my understanding that they could attempt this at their considerable cost and I should therefore consdier their letters as hollow threats?
Any suggestions or pointers gratefully received.
Let this search load and there are tons of threads like yours:

Please just relax and tick off each letter that matches the letter chains thread (or other threads found by searching). Just the unusual word 'pharmacal' as a keyword in the search box on this parking forum would have found those threads above but I like 'LMGTFY' which works as a live search, as in the link.
They will not invoke an NPA over this to get the driver's name - anyway how can you know who it was? This is NOTHING to worry about, just more idle threats. I do hope you are not replying to any of these letters. Just file them and tell your drivers & colleagues about this scam so no-one ever pays one.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
